Whimsy & Spice lives up to its name. Based out of Brooklyn, NY, and run by husband and wife team, Mark Sopchak (pastry chef extraordinaire) and Jenna Park (marketer, packaging and website designer, and fab photographer), each batch of deliciousness is sure to be fun and flavorful. And, what could be better for a wedding favor? Their cookies, marshmallows and brownies can be beautifully packaged into super special wedding favors and you can choose labels and ribbon color to customize each perfect package.
Some personal favorites are their sandwich cookies which come in flavors such as Earl Grey, Hazelnut Whisky, Massaman Peanut Butter, and Pink Peppercorn. Chocolate Gingersnaps and Rose & Black Pepper Thumbprints are wonderful. Although, their Coconut Five Spice White Chocolate wins my heart every time. But, then there are the shortbread varieties. Oh! The shortbread! And, come on, homemade marshmallows?! Caramel, Cardamom, Passion Fruit, Rose Vanilla? Somebody stop me! But, nothing should stop you from seriously considering these tasty treats for your guests. You can thank me later.

The day I should get married, it would come as no surprise to my guests that they’d likely take home a food-type favor from the reception. I love food! They know it, my tailor would know it. But, what could be better? A remembrance of the day to be shared at the table, instead of a dust-gathering tsotchke relegated to a shelf, a box, or worse, the trash. And, I think the offerings from Bee Raw Honey fit the bill perfectly!
Offering raw, unfiltered, varietal honeys in fantastic packaging (The wax-sealed vials? Glorious!), Bee Raw sources honeys from family-owned apiaries across the country and each variety is derived from a single floral source. This gives each honey its distinct color, flavor, and aroma. The 1 oz. vials make for the perfect favor, and the 8 oz. jars and honey flights would be more than thoughtful gifts. You can even select the type of honey based upon season or region to keep things local and true to the occasion. Adding a recipe or pairing from the site could offer that extra touch by giving guests different thoughts and ideas on how to use their special favor. Tie it off with a tag declaring, “Love is Sweet”, or “Spread the love”, and your guests will be buzzing.
