This morning I’ve been, well, swooning over the perfectly pretty pieces from Petal and Print. Offering any number of custom fabric floral creations, Katie will hand-dye, cut, and create bridal bouquets, cake toppers, boutonnieres, corsages, centerpieces, headbands, hair clips, etc. Just imagine all of the possibilities for adding an oh-so-charming touch to your wedding theme!

Generally recognized as a symbol of good luck, many brides are integrating feathers into their weddings. If you like this idea, add small touches to avoid looking like a Mardi Gras gone awry. The only exception is, of course, if you are actually having a Mardi Gras themed reception (as shown in the feather centerpieces above).
Especially if you are sticking to a white or pale color palette, small feathers can add interesting texture to bouquets. If you are going with bolder colors, such as red or black, incorporate them into hair accessories or shoes.

This year at Renegade Craft Fair, I became the teeniest bit stalker-ish when it came to Giant Dwarf’s Starlette Crown (big surprise, right? I know I have a bit of history…). I kept walking by it, analyzing it on poor Sue’s head, and basically trying to decide if I could pull it off. Eventually, I was forced into a decision (there was only one left), took my stars and headed on home. And you know what? It was one of those purchases where you can’t imagine what you would have done without it.
Every time I put it on, I feel… magical. Like I could bestow you with gifts of goodness by merely nodding in your direction. Which is, personally, exactly how I think you should feel on your wedding day – like Glinda the Good Witch but with a more subtle crown.
I should also mention that all the stars are made with German Glass Glitter and come in Diamond, Gold, Ruby, or Onyx (the Ruby would be perfect for bridesmaids in a winter wedding, don’t you think?). Or if this particular crown is too much glitter for you, Sue also sells individual stars for a more subtle pop.

So your friends are throwing you a lovely shower in the afternoon and then taking you out on the town for your bachelorette party and the big question is – What in the world are you going to wear? The two events couldn’t be more different – your shower calls for something a bit softer and sweeter while a night out on the town means pulling out the sexy and fun.
We found this rockin’ dress from one of our favorite online stores ModCloth, which makes the transition impeccably (and is only $52.99 to boot!) when paired with black tights and changing accessories.

Australian designer Johanna Johnson’s line of wedding dresses is ridiculously gorgeous. The designs are elegant yet somehow easy, and all of them are Glamor Central – dresses that are made to make you look and feel like a movie star on your wedding day. But, alas, they are not what this post is about today because right now they’re not available outside of Australia (if you want to torture yourself, feel free to take a look here).
Thankfully, though, Johanna Johnson has a line of accessories which she sells online that we can all get our hands on. They have the same glamorous bent but with a slightly vintage feel, wouldn’t you say?
And, that Garland Cape! It would add such a layer of frothy goodness to an otherwise simple gown, giving you the option to go dramatic for your ceremony entrance and then more simple for your reception. The only problem then would be finding another event glamorous enough that you could wear it again…
