It’s our absolute favorite time of year around here because today is the official start of Engagement Season! All month long we’ll be featuring real engagements, engagement party ideas, rings and everything else you might need to get your wedding planning started off right.

To kick it all off we have an engagement shoot from Melbourne, Australia that is charming, eclectic and a little bit steamy (no, Kelly and Dave aren’t models; yes, I’m pretty sure they could be). Photographed beautifully by Adorro Impressions Photography, you’d never believe that the shoot took place in the cold and pouring rain!

And talk about using what is in front of you… Jess, the photographer, saw the bus on the side of the road and decided to stop and see if they could use it for the photo shoot. It was part of a large homestead owned by a French family who in Jess’ words thought she was “crazy for wanting to use it” until they saw the final results.

Kelly’s amazing headpiece was designed by Velvet Lily Florist while PS. I Love You Wedding and Events styled the shoot.
