There are lots of accessories that a bride considers as part of her overall wedding day look. While the obvious choices are shoes, veil, jewelry, and bouquet, a bride is also going to need a purse for a few essentials and a clutch is a classic and stylish choice. And, stylish is precisely what you’ll find with the multitude of offerings at Angee W.
Founded in 2009 by mother-daughter team, Angee & Vincci, this talented duo uses jewelry, feathers, lace, floral adornments and more, to bring together their exquisite creations. You can even customize the lining of each clutch with your engagement photo or another special image as well as having an embroidered message placed inside (which would make for a memorable bridesmaid gift). Each clutch would make for a fashionable finishing touch to the entire bridal party look so be sure to check out their entire collection!

While all aspects of a wedding are a reflection of the bride and groom, nothing obviously makes a bigger statement about the bride than her wedding dress. It’s such a beautiful representation of her sense own sense of style and personality. And, as we all know, there are plenty of options to be had!
If you’re a bride of the vintage, bohemian, Eco, or artistically-inclined, then Salvage Life may just have the dress you’re looking for. Based out of Long Beach, California, owner Beth Giles uncovers lush vintage finds with the idea to discourage wastefulness and promote sustainable buying practices. And, given that tradition would have you wearing something “old” on your wedding day, what could be better than vintage? Plus, on a day when your heart will be full with love for friends, family, and, of course, your new husband, why not show a little love to Mother Earth? You could even say you’d be wearing your heart on your sleeve. And, how lovely a fashion statement would that be?

I absolutely fell in love with Australian designer Johanna Johnson when I stumbled upon her stunning veils and headpieces last year. After seeing her new wedding dress collection, I can officially say this is not a brief dalliance; no, this, folks, is the real thing – long-lasting lust. (She now ships worldwide so it’s safe to lust away!)
Because it feels like she has done the impossible, which is make glamorous look easy. Like you could just throw on one of her wedding dresses, add some red lipstick and be ready for whatever the day holds, whether it be by beach, garden or museum. You can be totally glam while still feeling comfortable and moving around freely…
I love that her designs have an undercurrent of 1920′s inspiration (so hot right now) even without ever delving into costume-y. And those necklaces? Can you say, statement piece that totally completes the look?
You all know I love me some tulle and a big skirt, yet even her ball gown-esque dresses have an understated feel to them, don’t they?
I had to include this short dress because it is absolute beach perfection. Or second-dress-for-the-evening perfection. Or even really-cool-bridesmaids’-dress perfection. I just need somebody to please go and buy it.
You can see Johanna Johnson’s full collection (this is just a snippet!) over at her site under “Templar.”
I’ve gotta get it out on the table – I have a very soft spot in my heart for a tea-length wedding dress. They’re full of personality, super-flattering and the way they spin! I can tell you from experience that if you were ever a little girl who tested a dress’ “spin factor” before committing to wearing it, a vintage, tea-length gown is the way to go.
And, no one is rocking the look harder than London designer, Candy Anthony. Their new collection is full of their signature ’50s- and ’60s-inspired dresses that feel, rather than costume-y, totally British and cool (I think it has something to do with the oversized veils…). And while they have a distinctly retro feel, all of the dresses are original designs made right in the UK.
If you’re not sure how it would translate to your wedding day, head over to their site and check out their client gallery. They have photos of brides wearing their designs at everywhere from beach weddings to black tie affairs at country estates.

As much as I love wedding dresses that are flirty and fun or that make a serious statement, there is plenty of room in my heart for dresses that employ simple lines for a subtle sophistication. And no one does classic better than Lea-Ann Belter.
Her dresses are all manufactured here in the States or in Canada with serious attention to craftsmanship (each gown is reverse-stitched and fully silk-lined) so it’s totally comfortable; she also requires more measurements than any other designer so your dress will fit you perfectly. It’s this attention to detail combined with quality fabrics that lend her dresses an air of elegance – they speak for themselves…
I’ve picked out a few of my favorites from her Spring collection, but head over to her website for lots more options.

This season I became the teensy-est bit obsessed with Project Wedding. Mondo was from my hometown so I likened it to the semi-crazed state my husband enters into around World Cup season; by watching, from the exact same position on my couch, I was playing an integral part in Mondo’s ability to continually win. Therefore, I take full responsibility for the (spoiler alert!) devastating outcome; I (gulp!) DVR’d the show that night, putting my visiting relatives (if you can imagine!) above my hometown favorite. I hang my head in shame, Denver Mondo fans.
I wasn’t as obsessed the season Carol Hannah was on but I distinctly remember her warm, down-to-earth personality that didn’t get embroiled in all the drama. Which is exactly how her collection of wedding dresses feels. Easy-to-wear, figure flattering with little pops of detailing, they’re for a modern gal who wants to feel pretty without being over-the-top.
She also has a fun line of accessories that would add a pop of personality to any dress (I included my fave, her Fairy Cuff below).
