There are times when you just have to go with what’s given to you and, dear readers, this is one of those times. I had another post all ready for you for this afternoon when this little ditty came through my inbox (via the geniuses at Thrilllist) and I had to share it with you immediately. Pretty tiaras can wait until Monday; this feels like the Friday afternoon treat that’ll get you through to the weekend.

Gift Rapped is a service that creates personalized raps for you (I’ll just give you a second for the awesomeness of this service to sink in). You send them suggestions, inside jokes, and a set of photos; they send you back a personalized rap in video form that you can use to impress your loved one.

And believe me, I know I have a weakness for all things over-the-top and dramatic, but I keep thinking this would be the ultimate wedding slide show. A rap about the two of you? Now, that would keep your guests talking. Or you could use it for your save-the-dates, as a proposal or, in my case, as an anniversary gift (I promise to post it once I get it back). There’s just nothing like a customized rap to underscore your love for one another…
