Since I am the most internet and design-savvy person in my family, it came upon ME to design and order my sister’s wedding announcements. This past Fourth of July my sister and her husband were wed in a really tiny, intimate ceremony. In fact, they just planned a Fourth of July barbecue, invited immediate family only, and then had their wedding ceremony at sunset.
So, on the front of the wedding announcement I included the usual … “[My parents] wish to announce the marriage of their daughter …” etc, but one the back of the announcement, I wanted to feature a cute photo that I took of them with their festive sparklers and a cute little saying like, “We said ‘I do!’” but only … with an allusion to the Fourth of July, somehow.
After doing some research, I realized that there were no readily available, clever, wedding announcement sayings for Fourth of July weddings. So, with the help of my mother, we came up with one ourselves! Feel free to use this for YOUR Fourth of July wedding announcements:

We said “I do” after our 4th of July BBQ!
It rhymes and everything.
