  • why trash the dress?? Recyle it. Make something from it you can keep & pass on to your children if you want. How much did you or your parents pay for the dress?? UNBELIEVABLE

  • I love this idea! I can't wait for my TTD session. I don't plan on ruining my dress, I just want a few unconventional photos that really showcase my gown! I completely love my dress...why not show it off in a new way!! I am not going to wear my mom's dress, and I definately don't expect my future children to want to wear my dress. I love this idea and love all of the photos!!

  • Wrong, wrong, wrong. How dare you dishonor your wedding dress. This is just a silly idea from the photographers to sell more stuff. Grow up, keep your dress for a child, donate it to someone who can't aford one, make a table cloth if you must. You'll will regret childish behavior later. Or spend $99 and go to David's from the start. That dress will already be trash so there will be no loss.

  • There is no "honor" in a wedding dress...it is just an article of clothing. I think there is more "honor" in taking amazing pictures that will hang on your wall forever, than sticking your dress in a plastic and stuffing it in a closet.

  • How does making a table cloth out of your dress honor it anymore than a TTD session? It'd be such an honor to eat off your wedding dress at your next dinner party. It's still trashed..

  • Are you serious?? Who are you to judge what is right and wrong for an individual person? And I'm not sure if you're aware, but the wedding is NOT about the dress, its about a wonderful commitment made between 2 people. Honestly - I would wear a garbage bag to my wedding if it meant I was going to make that wonderful commitment to the most important man in the world!
    A wedding if just a day... A marriage is forever. AND a wedding dress is an article of clothing. Grow up and dont judge people who are exploring art.

  • i am soooo excited to trash my dress. i understand that my parents paid for it, thats why i got thier permission. what do they care? it not like anyone will ever where the dress again. by the time i have kids they will have all new styles out! i say GO FOR IT!!!

  • I don't at all agree with trashing your dress to a point where it is completely unable to be used again, particularly when there are lovely organizations who accept donations of gently used dresses, sell them, and use the profitts to do good things, like granting wishes for terminally ill breast cancer patients. Many of the trashing photos I have seen, however, involve minor problems- getting the dress wet, taking pictures in non-traditional locations, etc. I think this is fine, and want some similar shots myself. I just question the reasoning behind completely destroying anything that has the ability to be used again. Not exactly eco-friendly.

  • This truly seems like a fun experience, which lasts but a few hours. However, on the other hand, as a person who is wearing their grandmother's dress, along with another dress for the reception, i feel that this is simply wasteful and shows our society does not consider anything but the present. how did even wedding dresses become disposable?

  • Rather than showing how our society does not consider anything but the present by disposing of their wedding dress, I think it's more representative of how society values such materialistic things such as a bunch of white overpriced material. A dress is a dress...not the substance of your marriage or your memories. You shouldn't be worried about the photographers trying to make more money from the trash the dress idea...You've already been suckered into spending hundreds and thousands on what? A dress. And you can spray paint it, get it wet, set it on fire...it still is not a representation of anything meaningful. Those things cannot be destroyed.

  • I think that this is an amazing idea!! I don't like the fact that you would have to wrap your dress in plastic or have professionally put in a box when you can have awesome and fun pictures to remember it by. I would much rather have a dress with paint all over it remembering how much fun I had trashing it rather than looking at a plain white dress.

  • You can definately see how times have changed since our mothers and grandmothers were getting married. Where anyone over 30 something might find this to be a distasteful way to show off your wedding dress. I say this is a new age for 20 something brides. The photos are beautiful and unconventional. Definately adding something new and different to the traditional marriage photos! I cant wait to do mine!

  • Get over it! It IS being used again.......IN A PHOTO SHOOT. It is a bunch of threads woven together and doesn't need "honouring" any more than the Jimmy Choos you wore with it. What next? Should we also "honour" our wedding underwear? This is art people, and needs no justification.

  • Are you insane? You put a grand into a dress, to just destroy it? You can keep it, save it for your daughter when she gets married...but trashing it? That just blows my mind.

  • I LOVE the idea! What a way to celebrate a wedding anniversary....or a divorce! LOL I think it's a fun thing to do, and when I get married I will be trashing my dress for sure! Beautiful pictures!

  • i think that its a brilliant idea, like others have said why not have brilliant photos to hang on your wall for a life time to look back on and think my god i had fun doing that, at the moment i look at my dress that i got married in 4 weeks ago and i think to myself god it cost me so much money what will i do with it? I've already made the decision i will trash it.. but not to the point where you can no longer see it once was a dress, not all "trash the dress" sessions actually trash the dress, quite a few of them are just a few stunning dress in water shots.. god why not do it? you spend all the money for a few people to look at it on the day and say oh your dress is nice, huh why not show them what that dress is really made of!!
    
    I personally can not wait to TRASH MY DRESS!!!
