Do you know that December is the most popular month to get engaged? But saying ‘I do’ in the winter months isn’t quite as common. The unpredictable snow storms, wedding gowns that are not weather proof, holiday and wedding spending, YIKES! But, admit it, there’s an enchanting feeling that creeps up as the cold air hits. Maybe it’s snuggling next to the fireplace that makes the season more romantic? Or is it the delicious aroma of holiday food filling our homes that encourages family gatherings? If you take a closer look, having a winter wedding can be a great way to light two candles with one flame.

Pre-wedding weight loss has always been of the utmost importance to me since getting engaged. I knew when I chose a New Year’s Eve wedding date that the preceding holidays would make getting my ideal wedding dress physique even more challenging. I’ve just come through the first major eat-a-thon of the holidays, Thanksgiving. Turkey and stuffing are my leading vices, but just one day of what looked like a professional eaters training session wasn’t the source the diet damage.

Falling is love is an incredible experience. Being in love is uplifting and fulfilling. Staying in love is work.
