Mistakes Every Daughter-in-Law Make: Mistake # 6

We are all guilty of this mistake. Maybe not specifically in relation to our MIL, but trust me, if you haven't done it yet...oh you will!

Mistake #6: Not Saving Gifts from Your MIL for At Least a Year
Think about the last time you went out and bought a gift for a friend. If it was a close friend, you probably put a lot of thought into it, choosing something special. Seeing your friend actually make use of your gift is always a good feeling. When your MIL gives you a gift, make sure you keep this example in mind. One of the biggest mistakes new brides make is quickly tossing gifts from their mother-in-law that aren’t really in their taste or style.

Solution: Just Hang On to It..She Means Well!
If it doesn't happen to be quite your cup of tea, don't make the mistake of getting rid of it prematurely. There is nothing more humiliating than not being able to produce whatever it may be upon inquiry due to re-gifting! Put the presents out and about when she comes over. Simply put them away when she leaves if you must, but just seeing that you appreciate her gifts will go a long way with your mother-in-law!
