  • I agree that thinking out of the box is the way to go!
    Its almost 2010. I feel, as an event planner, that anything goes nowadays. Although tradition is still used in many weddings, I see more and more nowadays bride and grooms taking it a step or 2 further. I feel a wedding should reflect a personality or a hobby that the couple shares or has individually.
    
    Just like traditional floral bouquets and centerpieces are not always used anymore, boutonniere's dont have to be flowers either! As long as the bride and groom are willing to let their groomsmen experiment, why not?! Or even if the bride or groom has a suggestion, make them match with funky style! I love it!

  • How can I find a company that helps guests make their own creative boutonniere like the ones in the photos above? Ladies can make their own hair pins and pieces with feathers or something. I live in Los Angeles and would love to find a place but don't know what to google. I like it to look classy like the ones in the photos.

  • Jill, if you have a florist, they should be able to help you... even if you aren't using flowers in your bouttonieres, your florist knows how to properly use tools like floral wire, tape, etc... but if you are DIY, and can't find a place to help you, I would get some how-to floral books from the library and you should be able to get any supplies from a hobby/craft store.
