We met at church. James has been attending the same church since his freshman year of college and I was a newcomer back in 2007. He noticed me as soon as I began attending, and we were friends for about a year before we started dating.

Did you know when you met, that he was "the ONE?"
No way! I knew that James liked me for awhile before he approached me about dating, and the entire time I was thinking "Okay... I like being friends with him, but can I really imagine myself KISSING this guy!? NO!" Even after we...

Question:
What is the difference between a maid of Honor and a matron of honor? What role do they play in the bridal party?

Wedding Planner Expert, Jessica Adler of JA Special Events and Weddings answer's this:
A maid of honor is an attendant who has not been married, whereas a matron of honor is someone who is either currently married or has been married.

Some brides will choose to select a maid and matron of honor to be part of their wedding party.

With religious specific weddings, sometimes traditions will dictate that the bridesmaids, including the maid and matron of honor walk down...

Question:What is acceptable with inviting co-workers to a wedding? Is it possible to just invite a few select co-workers? If so, does one need to also invite their spouse's?

Etiquette Expert, Claudia

Lutman's Answer:
When inviting co-workers to your wedding, you must do so with discernment. In the height of excitement about your upcoming wedding, you should be cognizant of the notion you may be sending (i.e. you do not want to give the impression that you’re inviting everyone from the office or department when in fact it maybe only a select few). To avoid this perception, I would suggest...

Knowing what to wear to a wedding or special event can be pretty confusing nowadays. Based on the time of year, time of day, and part of the country, as well as the style of the venue, appropriate attire can really vary. It can really be helpful to look online and learn about the town and location for the wedding in order to really select your outfit. In general,...

So, you looked far and wide and found a few photographers that fit your style. First and most importantly, find someone that fits your style and personality. It's very important to get together and make sure your personalities mesh well, whenever possible. If you are planning a destination wedding, get on Skype or chat on the phone, but be sure you enjoy the photographer you are hiring. Here is a list of just...

Lutman's Answer:

To tip or not to tip is important and of obvious concern. A tip is given as a personal expression of gratitude for service given and appreciated.

Tips are given by your wedding planner or best man on the day of your wedding. Each tip should be addresses to the recipient and sealed in an envelope.

Tasha: First of all, as much as you want to pamper yourself in the month before your wedding, avoid facials; do microderm abrasion twice a week instead. For the month prior to your wedding, adopt a consistent skin care regime, preferably with products that are all-natural and made with soy.
