Thanks to our suppliers and friends for helping us.
Peter Shields Inn
Our original plan is to have the reception at Mad Batter because we love their food too and it's a little cheaper but we decided against it because the beach is still some 10 minutes walk and the parking situation is terrible.
So glad we chose Peter Shields Inn. Parking is free and the beach is just across the street and the customer service is exceptional! I thank Bridget and the whole team for being patient with us and for taking care of us and the guests before, during and after our wedding. I'm giving them 10 stars.
Rev. Bob Steenrod.
We love him!
He's funny and when Bob and I were making bloopers during the ceremony he would just crack up jokes and all tension just disappear. He also took care of everything, legal-documents-wise and all we had to do is apply for a wedding license and we just gave the license to him on the wedding day and that's it. We are very satisfied.
I suggest you meet with him before your wedding if you book him as your officiant because he has so many valuable tips to share that you don't realize you need until he pointed it out to you.
By the way, he also owns the Bilmae Cottage, the dog-friendly guesthouse in Cape May

Tamara De Ment for the Violin and Jim Maher for the acoustic guitar.
Bob and I discovered them a year ago while we were in Cape May to look for reception venues. There was a wedding that time and they are the musicians. We were just sitting a few feet away from the ceremony and we were just listening to the music. We weren't really planning to get a musician but when we heard them we just changed our minds instantly, lol. Listening to them play is just so soothing and gives a different feel to the wedding.
My friends and guests adore them too. They keep raving about them and keep telling us how solemn and romantic our wedding was because of our musicians.
I love these guys specially Tamara who is so patient with me about my song requests. I'm a Carpenter's fan and they tried to learn a few Carpenters songs for our wedding and I am so thankful to them that they tried to learn "You" the last minute because I requested that for my Bridal March song.
Here are the list of songs I requested that they so generously tried to learn for our wedding:
*You – the Carpenters (Bridal March)
*La Rejouisssance – Handel (Recessional)
*Only Time - Enya (Recessional)
*They Long to Be Close to You – Carpenters (Vows/Introduction of Couple)
*Can’t Take My Eyes off of You – (First Dance)
*We’ve Only Just Begun - (Cocktail/Dinner)
*Yesterday Once More – the Carpenters (Cocktail/Dinner)
*There’s a Kind of Hush All Over the World – the Carpenters (Cocktail/Dinner)
Here is the complete list of songs I requested for them to play for our wedding:

Minuet 1, 2, & 3 - Bach
Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring
The Sheep May Safely Graze
Ode to Joy – Beethoven
Minuet – Beethoven
Canon in D

Michel Gras is a French baker and he's another one of our favorite suppliers. We like talking with him and he makes very good recommendations on what flavors to use for your cake filling.
I saw him online while I was looking for Cape May beach wedding inspirations and I like the review that I saw that we immediately emailed him and inquired. He's very accommodating and his cake is just heavenly! We got half chocolate and half vanilla and we had ganache and choco mousse as filling for the chocolate and lemon and berries filling (I forgot what it's called) for our vanilla cake and we just love them! Our guests keep telling us that our cake doesn't just look very well designed (we chose one of his beach-themed cake) and presented, it also taste really good! Even our friend who makes cake raves about how his cake tastes home made with lots and lots of TLCs (tender-loving-care).
Wedding By The Sea
For the wedding ceremony supplies (chair rentals, arbor, unity sand table and feather banners).
Catherine was very helpful. When she said "we'll take care of you", she meant it and not just some marketing blah.
We rented four feather banners ($50 each) and arbor ($100) (we had two arbors, we brought and decorated the second one and we used that as our pseudo entrance door) and 40 chairs ($4 each) from them. They did the set up and they disassembled them too. We brought with us some extra ceremony decors that we want to put in, like the tulle for the aisle, the shepherds hook for the paper lanterns and the paper lanterns. They helped us set that up too with just an additional $40 fee.
Oh, and did I mention our guests love our ceremony set-up? Uh-huh. yes, they did. Because we also put in some red rose petals at the aisle.
Cathy Madeja and Jet Adolfo
My friend Cathy Madeja is so kind to say yes to be our wedding coordinator. She's a nurse by profession but does event planning/coordination on the side. If you need someone who's meticulous and knows how to do an event well done, I highly recommend her!
Special shout-out to Jet Adolfo too for overseeing the ceremony venue clean-up and helping Cathy during the wedding rehearsal and for doing my hair!
Ryan and Jeff Productions.
Our good friends Ryan and Jeff made our Love Story interview video and we love it! Can't help playing it over and over and over! The editing is awesome. Music selection is awesome. Everything about it is awesome!
If you want a different kind of AVP I suggest give them a shot. You and your guests will surely love the Love Story video because one, it's unique, two its very professionally made and three it doesn't cost an arm and leg.
My very talented friend Ryan was so nice to agree to be our backup photographer.
My bridal shoes were designed by figgieshoes.com. They do custom painted shoes. What i did was I ordered a plain white flat shoes from amazon.com and then i shipped it to canada (figgie shoes' headquarter). debbie, the owner/artist asked me to give her 12 items that i want on my shoes.

Collier's Liquor Store
They were referred to us by Peter Shields Inn (Peter Shields doesn't have a liquor license).
What's cool about this store is you can get all your liquors from them and if you didn't finish the bottles they'll pick it up from Peter Shields and refund you.
We want a full bar so they showed us a list of liquor types we would need and how many bottles per type.
We got our Champagne (Domaine Ste. Michelle) for toasting, from a different store called Total Wine in Delaware. Biggest liquor store I have seen. http://www.totalwine.com/

Coronet Bridal is a premium outlet for Maggie Sottero gowns. The bride got her Maggie Sottero gown here and two of the female entourage got their Bill Levkoff #520 dresses here too.
7215 Rising Sun Avenue
Philadelphia, , PA 19111
The other half of the female entourage got their Bill Levkoff gowns from here. The cost of the dresses here ended up cheaper because it includes free alteration.
We booked them a week before the wedding and they were so nice to still accept our booking.
I'm not really planning to get any flowers except the red rose petals that we're going to use for the aisle but Bob insisted we should get some for our centerpiece and to decorate the rails outside Peter Shields. Bob saw them decorating the rails at Peter Shields and he liked it that it was a spur of the moment booking for him, lol. We're glad we did that though.
We paid $14 each for the hydrangea on a fishbowl as center piece (we ordered 8) and $190 for the rail decoration.
Pittsburgh & Beach Avenues

We provided free two nights accommodation for all members of our male entourage at La Mer and we also suggested La Mer to our guests. This is also where we booked the rooms for the groom and the groom's dad. So far all our guests who stayed here enjoyed their stay. All the rooms we booked are facing the ocean and all rooms has a balcony, a fridge and microwave. The bigger rooms we booked for our flower girl and ring bearer has a kitchen and separate sitting area. La Mer is just steps away from our reception venue (Peter Shields)
Peter Shields Inn.
Aside from being our reception venue, this was also our accommodation. We also provided free accommodations for our female entourage and this is where they spent 2 nights. The bride stayed here too. Peter Shields provides free breakfast and they have very accomodating staff.
Beach of Cape May.
It was the perfect weather to get married by the beach on our wedding day. Cape May didn't disappoint.
Another favorite supplier of ours. They made our SDE and it was awesome! I gave them a list of the stuff and scenes and spots I want on the SDE and they did it. So very happy.
Bob doesn't really want to get another videographer since we'll have one for our Philippines wedding already but I had to convince him it's worth getting one because it's a beach wedding and I've always dreamed of having a beach wedding. Eventually he gave in with one condition, I'll pay for it so I said, OK! Lol.
They charged me $3,000+ plus an additional $1,500+ for the SDE. That includes 2 viideographers and 2 assistants.
If you want to get their contact details, message me.
We discovered Matt when we went back to Peter Shields to finally book our date. He was busy with another Peter Shields' couple. We thought he's good and we were waiting for him to have a break so we could ask for his card but we forgot about it so we emailed Peter Shields the next day and asked for his contact details.
So glad we got him. We love his lighting techniques and the way he makes any subject comfortable to pose on camera. He's cheap too. It costs us around $1,600 for a 9-hour wedding shoot (that includes 2-hr travel time), 1 assistant and 1 engagement photoshoot...We have searched for other photographers and their rates is cheapest we found so far. Oh, and yes, they are The Knot's 2012 pick. That would tell you something.
PM me if you want to get their contact details.
