Shooting stars, double rainbows, and fireworks in the sky are just a few amazing experiences our love story includes.
P.S. It's less than three weeks and we are still madly in love! :)
This was my first Christmas without my family and I was a bit uncertain as to how it would go. On Christmas Eve, Chris and I hosted the Grunwald holiday celebration at our apartment upstairs and it was lovely. I had never hosted a party before in my life and it turned out great. A good time was had by all. The next morning, we slept in until around 8 am (no munchkins around to wake us up). We took our time enjoying the morning over coffee, and took our time opening our gifts. After I had opened most of my gifts, Chris said "I only got you one more present, but I guess you don't want it: you've walked by it all morning." I immediately turned and looked around the dining room. When he told me it was on my night stand by the bed, I jumped up and ran into the bedroom. When I got close enough to see it was a ring, I began crying. I grabbed the ring and he was at my side. I grabbed him and cried and loved on him and cried and loved on him. We kissed and hugged and I cried some more. He pushed me away long enough to kneel down on one knee and formally ask me to marry him. I actaully said "Oh God, Yes!" but he didn't hear me through the crying and had to ask me what my answer was! :) I cried for 5 straight hours that day (all tears of joy of course). It was absolutely the most amazing day of my life!
P.S. I might add that my ring is absolutely stunning! I had secretly admired it for quite some time and was so happy when he put it on my finger and I realized I did not have to give this one back!
