Brad and I met in our first year at Redeemer University. Two of my high school friends lived in his dorm, so I went to visit them sometimes. Within the first couple of weeks, Brad and I started hanging out a bit, and pretty soon, we both admitted we liked each other. It was still September when we started going out! :) A lot of people said it was too fast, but somehow we knew it would work. Brad always said he knew I was the one for him almost from the first time we met. Cheesy, yes, but still sweet.

Fastforward to more than 3 years later. I woke up one morning to Brad coming into my room, holding a bunch of red roses. I sat up, smiled, and said, "Aw, you bought me flowers again! You're so sweet!" (He had been buying me flowers quite a bit before then.) Then he got down on his knees and said, "I just can't wait anymore," and took out a gorgeous ring! I was so excited that I just took the ring and put it on myself (oops!). I don't even remember hearing him say "Will you marry me"! I guess I was too thrilled! He said he had been planning on taking me on a really pretty walk to propose, but couldn't because it was raining that day. But he had been so excited and ready to propose that he just couldn't wait any longer. And even though I looked awful because I just woke up, it didn't matter because I was so happy and felt amazing! And I love that his proposal was so simple, sweet, and heartfelt! It really was perfect!
