Fun Shoes for the Wedding Day

So, you may or may not know that i LOVE zebra print, in every way, shape and form. And by love, I mean that I may be slightly obsessed...haha. With that said, I wanted fun shoes for the day of the wedding, my dress is made in a way that will make it so that the shoes won't be seen much, but yet I would know they are there. So the search began for the perfect pair of shoes, and I was kind of picky, I knew I wanted a heel, and not just a low heel, a heel that would make me feel like a pretty...

Wedding Program Draft

So I've been working on a wedding program draft. I wanted something different, I didnt want a brochure-type, tri-fold program, and anywho, I ran across a template for Microsoft Word that featured a horizontal set-up. In other words, it's Hot dog style fold rather than a hamburger fold, hahaha. So I also wanted to to coordinate with my lovely invitations, so this is what my first draft looks like. I'm really happy with it, so this is probably the final product, but then again we aren't set on...

Ceramic Pots for the Centerpieces

This past weekend my mom, Ivy and I were at TJ Maxx and happened to run across some fabulous ceramic pots. You might recall that my idea is to have wheat bouquets and I had been having a hard time finding the perfect pot to put them in. Here they are And here's the idea for the wheat (which I already have everything for) Thanks to Hobby Lobby.

Bridesmaid Dresses are Bought!

We had such a wonderful day shopping yesterday! My mom, Megan, Tiara and I left Aurora about 9:00 on Saturday morning and headed to Springfield. We picked up Lindsey along the way and met up with Amy & Ivy in the parking lot of the first store. Our first stop was Karl's Bridal, we went to their discount store, knowing it was be "hit or miss". So we walked in and knew very quickly that there was nothing there for us. So on we went. Our next stop was McDaniel's Bridal. I had tried on...

We have a few different bridal shops to check out, but since our plan is a cute cocktail dress we may just look at some of the department stores at the mall, since they have some cute...

Scrollwork on the Wedding Cake

Brandon's fabulous Aunt Lora will be making our wedding cake! She's been doing some super neat cakes... Check these out!     She's really good, yeah? So I've been thinking about what I really want for our cake, since Brandon basically gives me full authority of these sort of things, and I think I want something somewhat simple, but kind of elegant at the same time, so i found a close up picture of the scrollwork that I think would look really nice! Except. I...

Starting to Make the Invitations

So school has been cancelled for tomorrow, therefore no clinical at the CON! Hooray! What a great opportunity to start cutting cardstock and printed paper for the invitations, dont'cha think?!?! With that said, in recent weeks, ad I may have mentioned in previous posts, our guestlist has grown exponentially! And with the increased guestlist comes more invitations, and with that comes loss of sanity for me! My invitations have a number of custom cut pieces of paper, including a piece of...

The Cake Stand Has Arrived!

My cake stand arrived via UPS today! Hooray! As you may, or may not, have read in a previous post I ordered a fabulous cake stand from Amazon last week! The box was a bit of an overkill, it was about three feet in length, two feet in width and the depth was,no joke 2 feet for this thing! And you would think that it would be heavy with that size of box, but no, it's quite manageable, putting aside the awkward size of the box. Anywho, back to my overwhelming excitement!!! I unburied the...
