Originally I had every intention of doing the finger foods myself, well with help from fabulous family members, but as time wore on, it was just too much. So Brandon and I started looking for a caterer to do the hot appetizers. I found some that I liked, some that I didnt, some that we couldn't afford, and some that wouldn't deliver to Aurora. So, the search is still on, Im busy looking for options and trying to figure out the type of food that we really want, I'll keep you posted when a de...

5 days after beginning to work on them and only a total of about 5 real hours of work I AM DONE. What a relief. Now I can enjoy the summer and get them out a the beginning of August without stressing! Each invitation is FULLY assembled and stuffed in the envelopes, now all that I have to do is address them, but that can wait until closer to mailing time in case addresses change. So glad to be finished!

With my glorious countdown as the background to my laptop, the dwindling number of days I have to prepare are always readily available. So with my recent graduation and days off from classes I decided on Monday that now was as good of time as any to begin working on my do it yourself wedding invitations. I had already pre-cut many of the pieces of paper but each invitation still takes quite a bit off assembling. So I printed all 100 on Monday and today, Wednesday, I started to put them all toget...

There's sooo much going on right now. I just finished up my nursing class and now I'm getting ready to start my very first "big girl job" on June 1st. So many things are going to be done this summer in preparation for the fall wedding. After I get my work schedule for the summer I'm going to try to find a weekend day that will work for my bridesmaids and myself for a bridal shower. Megan, one of my bridesmaids, is moving to Nashville toward the end of July/early August, so I am hoping a time wor...

How fun was registering, you ask? Super fun, but kind of stressfull at the same time! It's tough to walk through a store and look at items and decide whether or not you want to look at them for the next several years of your life. I found finding bedding for our master bedroom to be the most difficult thing to register for. At first we were planning on registering at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond. But after taking the hour and a half with the register gun at Target I realized that I didn't like...

I finally made a decision! I never thought I would be able to say that, I have been going back and forth for months! In one of my previous posts I had a number of dresses posted as choices. Some were polka dotted, others simple, and some big and poofy. Well in the end, I chose none of them! I had been trying to decide in the last week or so whether I wanted the girls to had a dress similar in style to the Bridesmaids or more like Ivy's, or even a dress all of their own. Well in the end I decided...

I've had my guestbook for a while, but I just found the perfect feather pen. I had been looking for a feather pen for a while, but since my guestbook is kind of ivory&black a normal white pen wouldn't have looked right. So I finally found one online on Etsy (which is a website for selling and buying of handmade products) So, I ordered it, and I think it's going to be super fun for everyone to write with! Yay!I got the guestbook several months ago at Hobby Lobby, it's not an actual guestbook,...

Here's a link to the manufacturers websiteThey also got us the matching TV chest (not pictured), which is a little taller than the long dresser/mirror, but has drawers that are perfect for DVDsAnywho! We started setting it up about a month ago when we brought it home. We didnt put the large mirror on the dresser, and probably won't until we move in a few year, and the bed isn't up yet,...

The stems of crystals are FINALLY FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had nearly 2100 beads to spin into stems in varying lengths, long for the bouquets and shorter for the corsages and boutonnieres. The shorter stems took about 30 seconds each whereas the longer stems look a full minute or so. So with that said, my mom and I spent about thirty hours working on these. It's such a relief to be done. Here's pictures of the huge amount of stemsAnd here's a picture of what the finished product will hopefully loo...
