Born during a blizzard of monumental proportions, truly it was a sign of... something. I grew up for my first ten years in Maryland and then moved to Texas with my mom and brothers. After finding that I had no aptitude for the normal things of a young adolescent male (sports, a job, machismo) I spent my days playing hacky-sack, reading science fiction, playing Dungeons and Dragons, hanging out with the youth group from my church, listening to bands at a local coffee shop and growing out my hair (so that women could be envious).
And then I decided to join the Army and become an infantryman. HA! I like to keep people guessing. And in between that I went to college in Fort Worth, Texas, at Texas Christian University (the not-so-Christian university located in Texas). There I studied English literature, the German language, and "military science." I also learned that I do love one sport: ultimate frisbee. And found a plethora of incredible friends and people that showed me love and shared their lives with me.
My time in the Army as an infantry officer has truly only just begun but already God has used it to make an indelible mark on myself, my relationship with God and my pursuit of pointing others to Him.
I am currently living near Seattle, Washington, where I am stationed at Fort Lewis.
