Brett & Abigail

Wedding Party

Anna Middlebrook

Matron of Honor
Anna Middlebrook

Anna is the Bride's sister and they first became friends around the time Anna moved out of the house when the Bride was 12. Coincidence? I think not. Since that time they have bonded over their propensity to run into door frames, buy any pair of shoes that crosses their path, and say ackward things in large group settings. Anna and her husband Ryan, currently live and work in Nacogdoches, Texas

Amy King

Bridesmaid
Amy King

Amy is the Bride's childhood friend. They've bonded over such B-words as Barbies and Books and have remained close all these years, because as we all know, books and barbies are timeless.
Amy is currently getting her masters at Northern Illinois University in English Literature and Women's studies.

Lydia Woolley

Bridesmaid
Lydia Woolley

Lydia was the Bride's very first friend when she moved to New Zealand. Since that time they have gotten even closer through many shared experiences, such as bungee jumping, bible study leading, traveling and other "ing" words. Lydia is currently working on her masters at the University of Auckland in Business.

Emma Edwards

Bridesmaid
Emma Edwards

Emma and the Bride first became friends when they were in a Bible Study during the Bride's last year in New Zealand. Since then they have travelled across the globe and racked up some serious international calling time to keep their friendship strong. Emma is currently working on her Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology at the University of Auckland

Carmi Louw

Bridesmaid
Carmi Louw

Carmi and the Bride first met over an extended prayer session at a college retreat. Since then they have prayed in bedrooms, public places, over emails, internet chat boxs and on telephones. In between praying they have developed a very scientific system of laughter which also helps to keep their friendship strong. Carmi is currently working at a Human Resources firm in Auckland, New Zealand.

Carl Seifert

Best Man
Carl Seifert

Carl and the Groom first met as ‘Herr Seifert’ and ‘Herr Wilson’ in their freshman German class in college. After being acquainted with one another for a couple of years both were struck by the magnitude of how incredibly cool they both were and shortly thereafter became fast friends. Soon it was realized that two such awesome people should not be separated and they and their other two equally rad friends, Michael and Denny, lived together for the latter two years of their college education, reveling in the glory of their coolness. Carl now resides in our nation’s capital, working for a non-profit organization that helps immigrants with a variety of job related skills. And yes ladies, this fine specimen of a man is single.

Tim Wilson II

Groomsman
Tim Wilson II

Tim and the Groom first met when Brett was born. Brett doesn’t really remember that occasion but he does remember all the years of love and protection (see next groomsman) that Tim provided. Tim has lead the way for the Brothers Wilson, and firmly instilled such family honored traditions as stunning good looks, thriftiness (as demonstrated by his resolute refusal to throw away cereal that, in no way as an exaggeration, tasted just like cardboard) and deeply ingrained competitiveness (as demonstrated by upturned game-boards and angry growling). Tim, his wife, and their son currently live in Spain where they serve as missionaries.

Josh Wilson

Groomsman
Josh Wilson

Josh and the Groom also first met when Brett was born. The ensuing war was waged upon many battlefields, many involving G.I. Joe action figures and varying claims of invincibility, but most ended in Brett (to his shame) hiding behind Tim’s back. For many years Brett plotted revenge for the years of cruel persecution. But then he realized that he had probably been a monumental twerp deserving of more good licks than he actually got and both he and Josh have since experience a “Golden Age” of peace and friendship, enriched by their common love of all things Sci-Fi and fantasy – or what some might ignorantly refer to as “dork stuff.” Josh currently lives in Nacogdoches, Texas, the land of the Lumberjacks.

Trevor Proctor

Groomsman
Trevor Proctor

Trevor is the oldest first-cousin of the Groom and has the distinction of being the only person (that Brett knows of) that has physically saved his life. When Brett was about 4 Trevor pulled him off the bottom of a swimming pool and thus allowed Brett to make it this far in life. If that wasn’t enough, due to the globe-trotting nature of his parents, Trevor achieved a somewhat legendary status in Brett’s young eyes. Who could compete with such stories as having a childhood birthday party on boat floating down the Nile River? Or traveling across South East Asia with another of his cousins? As Trevor and Brett have aged, their cousinship has improved like the aging of cheese. They both tend to smell funny, but most folks don’t seem to mind. Trevor is a biologist and works and lives in Kansas City with his wife and three sons.

Jonathan Burkhardt

Groomsman
Jonathan Burkhardt

Jonathan is also a cousin to the Groom and has the distinction of being the only groomsman that Brett can say he remembers wearing diapers. One of Brett’s favorite memories of Jonathan is of when Jonathan would desperately clutch his bottom when he had to use the restroom, thinking that that would help him contain the situation. And that pretty much sets up the remainder of Brett’s experiences with Jonathan. Little has changed. Jonathan has grown taller, his voice has deepened, but his mind is much the same. And he still wears diapers. He is currently living in Germantown, Ohio where he works for his father’s civil engineering business and is studying to become a civil engineer.
