Our Story
Our story is one of true romance and love. We've been together since we were kids, our hearts have merged together as we have grown. Most of you know our stories, but if not (or you need a reminder) feel free to read on.
HOW WE CAME TO BE...
Brian and I met when I was 14, he was 15. We shared mutual friends. My long time friend of mine, Tiffani Gahagan, had an older brother, Shannon. I'd known them basically my whole life. Shannon's best friend was Brian. The summer before my freshman year in high school, I was over at Tiffani's house for the weekend and I met Brian. He was like no other boy I'd ever met. Many years later, we talked about that first day and how we both knew instantly that we would be together forever.
THE PROPOSAL...
The day started off like any other Sunday. Brian and I slept in late, ate breakfast in bed, and laid around lazily in our pajamas. Brian made a suggestion about taking a walk around White Rock Lake. I, however, wanted to go to the dog park or take the dogs with us. He made it very clear that we would be doing nothing with the dogs. At the time I was unsure of why he was so persistent. He suggested that we have a picnic to which I responded, “I’m not hungry!” Needless to say, I nearly ruined my proposal before it even happened. Instead we both got smoothies and went to walk around the lake. We found a cozy, secluded bench underneath a beautiful arched tree. And there, while watching the reflection of the sunset on the lake, he popped the question!
