June 7, 2009...About one year to go before the wedding, and we're done with the traditional Pamamanhikan! Yehey! Syempre, ours is non-traditional at all, hehe
Though we thought it's going to be less pressure for us coz we won't actually be there when Bryan's dad (and relatives) will go to my Parent's house in California, turned out we're wrong!
Few days before the actual pamamanhikan, when schedules were already set, bigla kaming napaisip, teka, anong agenda?! ...Told bryan there was actually one w@wie sis who prepared a powerpoint presentation that was shown during the Pamamanhikan, but we didnt think about actually doing one for ours.
The day comes, about 4pm in the US, 7am here in Manila, I was videochatting with my dad when my mom passed by, nakita sya ng lola ni Bryan, and told her "aba, tumaba ho kayo a! magpapayat ho kayo, baka mas bongga pa kaming mga lola!" hahahaha... that was witty! kompetisyon pala ito ng pabonggahan - the moms vs the grannies! hehe, parang monsters vs aliens!
Then at around 5pm in the US, 8am here, Bryan's dad arrived at my parents' place and when he saw us on the computer screen (cyber ito!), gave us that "priestly" sign of the cross telling us, "you have my blessings!"... of all the reactions, natawa lang kami...and even Bryan said "Pa, kelan ka pa naging Pari?!" hahaha!!!
And then his dad tells us "dapat may powerpoint presentation ha"... what?! bat nga ba di kami gumawa?! now we have a few minutes to actually create one!... we enumerated the suppliers we have booked so far, we even managed to download their logos to be included in the presentation!!! syempre may mga "in action photos" din kami - our photos when we went to LePavilion, to attend bridal fairs, a couple of our prenup pics... and syemrpe, we also enumerated yung mga kailangan pa namin...
Napressure lang kami actually sa paga-upload coz we came up with a 12MB file! When we have actually sent it, aba, they'll call us na lang daw ulit... matagal tagal din na hindi kami kasama sa eksena (so hindi na namin alam kung anu ano ang mga pinaguusapan sa kabilang panig ng mundo)... and when they finally called us again to join in thru video, ok na! Haha
I believe it was a fun experience... Bryan's Tita was actually looking forward to coming here for our wedding that she forgot it would almost coincide with her son's graduation! haha... And Aaron, bryans brother, one of our groomsmen will actually have his graduation June 10 (and our wedding's June 12!) so probaly he would be coming directly from the airport to the church! hehe ;-)
Up til now, still happy thinking about our cyber-pamamanhikan!
