Burn Strong

Attractions

We chose Ashford, WA as the location for our wedding for several reasons, primary among them is the natural setting it offers. The wedding site is located just two miles from the west gate of Mt. Rainier National Park. The park offers excellent opportunities for scenic drives, hiking, and mountain climbing.

Mt. Rainier itself towers 14,410’ above all visitors and wildlife, lush old growth forests, spectacular subalpine meadows and a National Historic Landmark District that showcases the "NPS Rustic" style architecture of the 1920s and 1930s. After two years of renovation work on historic Paradise Inn, the 1917 landmark is set to reopen in May.

The towns of Elbe and Ashford, just outside the park, provide some necessites of life, like espresso and art.

As we learn more about the area and find things to do on our "shared vacation," we'll share all the details here.
