Richmond and Waterbury are both very cute towns. Unfortunately, most of my (Caitlin's) experiences eating in these towns have been at gas stations getting hot cocoa and a cookie after skiing or hiking.
Apparently, this restaurant has a little bit of everything. If it's truly a cafe, then I believe it because I heart cafes (as Julie Smith would say).
This is a chef-owned American Bistro. I have no clue what it's like, but you may like it. And, if you do, you should let me know so I can try it!
To me, this name sounds like "Sonoco Gas Station", so it may taste like that. But, online it states that it serves "Fine cuisine in a casual atmosphere."
This is located within the Bolton Valley Resort, where the wedding and reception are held. It apparently has very good food and a great atmosphere.
Matt, Marian (Matt's wonderful Mom), my Mom and I had a delicious lunch here. It has a little bit of everything and a great front porch on the main street.
This is a 7 barrel pub specializing in home brews. They serve Vermont local bar fare . . . cheeses, paninis, flatbread pizzas, and other amazing foods. It looks very fun and I recall hearing its name in the past used in a positive manner. So, I assume it's as good as it sounds!
Pizza is delicous. It's hard to go wrong with pizza. Waterbury is a beautiful, old Vermont town. If it takes pizza to get you there, so be it. But, if you want a tour of small Vermont towns, don't miss Waterbury (or Middlebury!).
