Caitlin and Matt

Wedding Party

There will be ten members of our wedding party plus one adorable flower girl. In reading the blurbs below keep mind that Caitlin has written about the maid of honor, bridesmaids, and flower girl, while Matt has written about best man and groomsmen. Interpret the pronouns accordingly.

Jessie Frank

Maid of Honor

"Jessie is a cousin of the bride, although she is considered more of a sister," says Matt.
"Jessie is my sister," says Caitlin. She one of the most amazing people I know. She is full of laughs and has a very bubbly personality that makes everyone around her shine. She is also extremely artistic and makes jewelry on the side, oil paints, takes amazing photographs, and loves the Boathouse. She went to St. Lawrence University and loves Vermont.

William Hoffman

Best Man

Will is the brother of the groom and has the uncanny ability to speak primarily in movie quotes. Will has been my best friend for as long as I can remember and we share most of the same hobbies. The two of us have a great level of friendly competition and Will has done very well for himself. He could always beat me at Madden or out-annoy me any day of the week, but now he claims to have 1/16" on me in height. I remain unconvinced.

Elizabeth Connolly

Bridesmaid

Liz is my second sister by marriage, but has been a part of my family since I was in middle school when she and Bryan first started dating. She is one of the smartest, wittiest people I know and is definitely someone to have on your Trivial Pursuit team. She will also demolish you during a stream machine water war. Her wedding was the first wedding I remember going to and the first wedding I was a part of. She and my brother have two beautiful children.

Jacob Blom

Groomsman

Jake has been one my best friends since lower school. Jake feels like another member of my family and has been part of our New Year's celebration for a remarkable 15 straight years. Quite a lot of my free time throughout middle and high school was spent playing card and board games with Jake. He remains a fantastic friend and someone I know I could rely on for anything at any moment.

Kristen Connolly

Bridesmaid

Kristen was a sister to Matt before she became my sister. She is married to my wild and crazy brother Greg, and I was lucky to be a part of her wedding as well. She and Matt were Junior Advisors together for a year at Williams College, and it was through Kristin that Matt and I met. The night we got engaged, Kristen called up Matt and said, "I just realized something, you are going to be the uncle of my children and I will be the aunt to your children." Keep in mind that she said this in totally stunned amazement.

Alex Eifler

Groomsman

Alex has been a very close friend of mine since lower school. I have fond memories spending hours flying paper airplanes off his back porch as kids. Alex was the first of my high school friends to take the marriage plunge (July 2008) and his advice (including a phone call while I was buying the engagement ring) has been invaluable. Remarkably, it's the first time in his life he ever explained anything properly.

Julie Smith

Bridesmaid

Julie has been one of my closest friends since I was in fourth grade. She has been there for me at every point in my life and always knows how to make me laugh. She has an incredible knack of making up words that sound like they should have been in the dictionary a thousand years ago. Yarbuk.

Mike Needham

Groomsman

Mike is a Williams friend of mine and a fellow baseball aficionado. Mike and I were roommates for three years, first in college and then in Washington, DC. We met freshman year of college--introduced by a mutual friend who thought I'd enjoy watching the World Series with Mike--and we've been friends ever since. It is largely due to Mike's prodding that I respond promptly to any of my emails and that I know the names of the most important US Cabinet members.

Meaghan McFadden

Bridesmaid

Meaghan and I have known each other since kindergarten. I think we owe Meaghan's Dad 2 garages full of firewood for the number of bonfires we have had the last ten years relying heavily on his stock. She is a natural organizer, but will deny it. She used to spend her recesses reading books, and is still obsessed with reading.

Russell Halper

Groomsman

Russ is a fellow applied math Ph.D. student and has been my roommate for the past four years. Russ has the distinction of being the opposite of Caitlin--the lone guy in a family with five sisters.

Lillian Connolly

Flower Girl

Lillian is the smartest, cutest, and funniest girl I know. She's my only and favorite niece (I'm a little biased). She is the daughter of Liz and Bryan Connolly. She will surely be a dancing queen at our wedding.
