Wedding Accommodations
If you have visited this page before you are correct in thinking that it has indeed changed. After visiting several resorts and meeting with several wedding coordinators we thought we had chosen the perfect resort. We recently learned that that resort can no longer accommodate our younger guests.
After much discussion and debate, and a run through of our notes and photographs from our site inspections, we are now set on the Barcelo Marina Palace.

Here are a few details you will not find on the official website; these are notes from our research trip:
~ Voltage is 220 volts, and there is a 110 volt outlet for shavers in the bathroom
~ $15 CUC for taxi fare to the centre of the town of Varadero
~ This is an all-suites hotel, the standard rooms are gorgeous!
Babysitting Service On Resort
The Mini Club at the resort offers babysitting at a cost of $5 CUC (equivalent to Canadian) per hour. Babysitting can be arranged directly with the assistants at the Mini Club.
The assistants that work in the mini club are very well trained staff - whom have completed training and education in the child care field.
Please note that we have been told that the resort reserves the right to enforce an age of majority in the disco.
STAGEWEST ALL SUITE HOTEL
As our flights to sunny Varadero leave quite early on Saturday January 24, 2009 (6:30am), we have secured a group rate of $109.00 for Friday January 23, 2009. Included in this rate is parking for the duration our trip to Cuba as well as all airport transfers to and from the airport.

Driving Directions:
From Northern Ontario: Highway 427 southbound to Highway 401 westbound. Exit Dixie Road south (left) and follow Dixie Road to Matheson Blvd. (2 blocks south of Hwy. 401). Turn right onto Matheson Blvd
Airport Shuttle Service:
To arrange for shuttle pick-up from the Airport, we have provided a courtesy phone at Terminals 1, 2 and 3 on the Hotel Information Board. For a return a trip to the Airport you may arrange this with our Bell person 30 minutes prior to your departure.
