We officially met in Chicago, Illinois. Tim and his band, The Ember Days, came to play at my church in Chicago.
We were introduced right before the church service started. I remember shaking his hand and thinking, "Wow. He has an amazing smile!"

That night, my Mom learned that the band would be in California the same time we were! So, we decided to keep in touch and get together out in California. We spent a glorious week getting to know each other. We even got to go to Disneyland!!

After that, Tim flew back to New Zealand. We stayed in touch through emails and (eventually!) phone calls. I don't even want to think about how much we spent on calling cards! But every single minute was worth it. It was such a fun experience learning new things about each other.

Next thing we knew, we were planning a wedding and a whole new life together!

Soon we'll be saying "I do" surrounded by all of our dear family & friends :)
