Here's a glimpse of our story....enjoy!
We start our story by saying we are a "Match." Trust us when we say that we really are that match made in modern heaven. Our first date was on October 21, 2005 on a lovely and peaceful friday evening. The weather was cool yet cozy and the night was young. We talked, we laughed, we wined and dined, and we even closed down the restaurant. We made instant connection when our love for sports, travel, science (geeky stuff) and most of all great food became the main topics of our conversation. The stars must have been perfectly aligned because it was a night to remember forever!
Like many couples, we've had our share homeruns and strikeouts. Our relationship is like a baseball game...sometimes you win, sometimes you loose, and sometimes you get rained out. But no matter the outcome, it's still the game you love to watch and play. Simply stated, the past three years have been a learning experience for the both of us. Each day we find out new and surprising traits about each other. We live to learn and learn to live through our strenghts and weaknesses. Now that we've reached the seventh inning stretch in our relationship, it's our time to play hard, be smart, and win for a big celebration....
It happened on the most unexpected day of the week.....Tuesday (November 18, 2008) a week before Thanksgiving. As I walked up the stairs to our house, there was a sign on the door that says "Reservations only.....please knock." So I knocked. The door opened and I was greeted with an aroma unlike any other....Food! Adam cooked dinner and it smelled good. The house was filled with beautiful red roses and candles in every corner. The table was set perfectly and the wine was poured. Adam made me a "Thanksgiving Dinner," at least that was the idea. We ate, we drank wine and had desert. Soon after, it was time for TV while he cleaned up....but instead it was a video slideshow. It had pictures from the past 3 years of our relationship and at the very end was a picture (taken by Adam) of himself asking me "Will you marry me?" Yes...Yes...or Yes! He got down on his knees and asked. Of course, I said "YES!" The proposal was unexpected which made it even more special. It was a perfect night!
