Our first visit to Black Rock City, Nevada, a temporary city of 48,000 people that appears in the desert (known as the Playa) for a week every August for the Burning Man Festival. It is a celebration of art, radical self-expression, radical self-reliance, and temporary community.
Last February, we travelled to London together for the second time for the wedding of our dear friends Adam and Genny. Our hosts for the week were Chris and Zoe, who we became very close with during our visit. We're looking forward to having such wonderful friends visit for our own wedding!

Ann and Scott had us up for a week. Mammoth truly is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and we never tire of going there. This was probably our best visit yet!
We spent this New Years in Eugene, Oregon visiting with friends. New Years Day, we took a ride out to the coast and saw the world's largest sea lion caves, had world-famous clam chowder, and stared in wonder at the wild Oregon sea.
During my six months in England, Ryan came to visit me just before my birthday. We took a weekend break to Keswick, in the heart of the Lake District. Our home for the weekend was a beautiful bed and breakfast with a great view. On the second day, we hiked to Castlerigg stone circle, where we got caught in a hail storm! Quite an adventure!
