Wedding Accommodations
There are tons of hotel accomodation options for your visit. We recommend that everyone stay at Northstar Resort or a nearby hotel the night of the wedding; Reno is 30-40 minutes away and getting a ride into town after the wedding reception might be an issue on a Sunday night. It is also good to note that if you are planning to stay at Northstar you will not necesarily need a car during your visit, due to shuttle services; please see our webpage on "Transportation".
Reno/Tahoe is a great vacation spot! If you plan on arriving early or staying longer, there are several other lodging options. Curtis and I will be renting a house in Tahoe City for the week after our wedding and welcome anyone to join us (note this is NOT our honeymoon so you won't be crashing, we just figured this is a great opportunity to see all of our friends and family we don't get to see very often! The closes places to stay, other than Northstar, for the night of the wedding are Kings Beach, CA, or Truckee, CA; we have included a few options for both towns on this page.

If possible we recommend staying at Northstar the night of the wedding - both the wedding and reception will be onsite. Northstar offers a variety of lodging options, includes a free shuttle around the North Lake Tahoe area, has tons of activities onsite (hiking, biking, skating, golf course, and swimming pool - to name a few), and it also offers a variety of restaurants and shops.

If you need handicap accomodations please let the reservation agent know and they should provide you with options within the Village that are handicap accessible (elevators and paved walking paths).
Mountain Homes and Luxury Condos are also available, but please note when booking that there is no discount rate on these options (Mountain Homes/Luxury Condos).
Hampton Inn and Suites
The Hampton Inn and Suites is approximately 15 minutes from Northstar Resort and 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe. It is located on the outskirts of Truckee California, it is new and clean and we've heard great reviews.
Please note you will not be able to "hop a cab" after the wedding, so please plan on having a designated driver if you stay off site.
Holiday Inn Express
The Holiday Inn Express is approximately 20 minutes from Northstar Resort and 25-half hour from Lake Tahoe. It is located in the heart of Truckee California, we have also heard great reviews about this hotel.
Please note you will not be able to "hop a cab" after the wedding, so please plan on having a designated driver if you stay off site.
Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge
Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge is approximately 10-15 minutes from Northstar Resort and located on Lake Tahoe (beachfront!). It is located about 3 miles from Kings Beach and is located on the main hwy that goes around the lake so you will need a car to get around.
Please note you will not be able to "hop a cab" after the wedding, so please plan on having a designated driver if you stay off site.
