Melissa grew up in Orange County, California. She has two great parents Nancy and Doug and a loving sister Dawn. Her favorite childhood memories were visiting her Grandparents and family in Michigan during the summer.

Melissa graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. She is now attending the same school this time working on her Master’s in Business and will graduate in May 2011. She works at Marcus & Millichap in Long Beach in the commercial real estate business and loves her job. She enjoys, hiking, camping, traveling, bungee jumping, spending time with great friends and of course planning the wedding!

We met while attending college at California State University, Long Beach. During the Spring semester of 2008 we both enrolled in a Business Communications class. During the first week the class we were randomly placed into groups of 6 to work on a semester long group project. We were placed into the same group. Right away we could tell that we got along great and worked well together. As the semester went on our group became good friends and would hang out outside of school. One night after a get together with the group everyone left except us. We talked long into the night began to feel there was more than just friendship there. The Friday before finals Dan asked me out and I said yes. Our first date was amazing it consisted of burgers; studying for finals at the school library and a late night run to Denny’s. And the rest is history. We ended up moving in together in January of 2009 and have been loving every minute of it. It is so much fun to get to spend every day with your best friend!
