Bridal Shower Greatness

On a more positive note...
Last night was my bridal shower (hosted by the very lovely Amy , my maid of honor). We had a splendid turnout, and I thank God for every single woman who came. Each one is very dear to me, Daniel, or both of us, and the fact that they would take time out of their week to celebrate with me speaks to their amazing, generous hearts. I was blessed by both their presence and their presents--the number of which overwhelmed me. I'm still processing all of it! Everything is finally falling into...
Don't be deceived.
If anyone ever tells you wedding planning is fun, don't believe them .
I can only speak from my own experience, but planning my wedding has
been one of the most stressful undertakings of my entire "adult" life.
(I will admit that fifth grade might have been slightly more stressful,
but I wasn't a "grown-up" then. :p) Blarg. I just want to be married. The end.
Countdown...
26 days and counting! Daniel's back in Ohio for just less than three
more weeks, so we're officially in the final stretch! Not much new to
report, just more of the same--wedding stress, work stress, REPEAT! My
maid of honor is throwing a bridal shower for me this Thursday, so that
will be a welcome distraction. (Thank you, again, Amy!!) That's all for now, I suppose. Will write more later, of course. :)
Wedding Update
(for those who care!) I've been officially engaged for four
whole weeks...with eight weeks left until the wedding...so I'm 1/3
through my crazy, short engagement! :) What have I accomplished? Well, allow the bride-to-be brag briefly. We
have: a date, a time, a church, a fellowship hall for the reception, a
wedding party, a wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses (all of which
have been fitted for alterations!), invitations ordered and in (I'm
working on addressing and printing out...
