Paige & Daniel

On a more positive note...

Last night was my bridal shower (hosted by the very lovely Amy, my maid of honor). We had a splendid turnout, and I thank God for every single woman who came. Each one is very dear to me, Daniel, or both of us, and the fact that they would take time out of their week to celebrate with me speaks to their amazing, generous hearts. I was blessed by both their presence and their presents--the number of which overwhelmed me. I'm still processing all of it!

Everything is finally falling into place. The music is finally figured out (I think!), and the tables and linens for the reception have been reserved (after much ado)! Ruth (soon-to-be-mom-in-law) secured the reservations for the rehearsal dinner, and Mom and I have dress fittings this afternoon at Mary's house. (Sidenote: I don't know if I've mentioned my seamstress before, but she is amazing!! Her philosophy is this: a bride shouldn't have to go into debt to get married. Can I get a resounding AMEN??) Next Monday, we go talk to Shirley about the flowers--adding a few things, taking away a few things--just sorting the final details all out.

And, in conclusion, I have the most amazing fiancé in the world. This week has been unusally stressful, and I've spent much of it in tears. With Daniel up in Ohio, he was feeling a bit helpless. After snooping around, asking me questions about my schedule, he called me back and informed me that I have a massage scheduled for Saturday morning...I just about cried. Again. :p If there were any doubt (and there wasn't, but if there were), I know for sure that he is a keeper.
