We started dating in 2000, and got engaged in 2006. Here are our relationship statistics since then:

Homes shared: 5
Homes owned: 2
Rooms painted: 3 (but felt like 100)
Trips to the hospital: 3
Cars owned: 8
Pets adopted: 1 dog

How we met

The Long Version:
How we met

We met over the Internet. There. We admit it. Now stop snickering.

During the early spring of 2000, we bumped into one another in an AOL chat room. It was clear then that we shared quite a few interests, and before long we were chatting on a nightly basis. We chatted online for about a week before taking the next step and exchanged phone numbers.

Another week on the phone and we planned their first real date: dinner at Uno's Bar and Grille and a movie. Needless to say... things went pretty well. And as they say: "The rest is history!"

Our Perfect Engagement

From Danielle's perspective...
Our Perfect Engagement

(A little background) ...
Every Columbus day we have gone pumpkin picking and carved our pumpkins together.

Last October was no different ... EXCEPT he wanted to do a pumpkin carving contest between him and I. It didn't really seem like a fair contest for him since I went to art school and he didn't, but I gladly accepted the competition. My sister and my parents were set to be the judges. And after we were done, we were going to bring our pumpkins over to my sister's house to be judged and have dinner ... nothing out of the usual because we do this every Sunday ... minus the pumpkins.

He was very secretive the whole time about what he was carving and wouldn't let me see his pumpkin. When we were both done, we put towels over them for the revealing. I showed mine first, a scream face from my favorite Munch painting.

Then his pumpkin - "Will you marry me?" carved into the pumpkin and the ring next to it.

Needless to say ... he won the contest. People keep asking, if my scream pumpkin
was my reaction. :)
