After years living across the country, we're both glad to return to Vermont and share this area with our friends and family. There's great hiking right out the back door, as well as the lake to explore.
We're hoping you find Mountain Meadows as welcoming as we do - come by to meet the animals, explore the grounds, or just say hi!
Out the back door of the Lodge, Mountain Meadows has a few water craft for use by wedding guests. If more people want to explore the area by water, you can arrange for rental canoes or kayaks from an outfitter in town.
Right out the back door! Follow the signs for a brief (or not so brief) hike up the trail.
The Killington Stage Race will be taking place on the same weekend. There will be a large number of bike racers (700+) for the weekend race. There will be some fun race watching on Saturday down at the Sunrise base area (sprints) as well as at the Calvin Coolidge Homestead area (King of the Mt. sprint).
* Ellie's cousin Jonah will be competing in the event!
This waterfall is about 45 minutes from Mountain Meadows. If there is enough interest, we can coordinate either a guided hike or lunch at the falls.
Just down the road you can find a trail running the length of VT (also the namesake of a terrific brewery...)
Vermont is the home of Ben and Jerry's - visit a local shop or make the pilgrimage to the original location in Burlington.
If the weather cooperates, sugaring season will be past, but you can still explore the process at the Maple Museum.
For more tasty treats, Cabot Cheese is made in VT as well.

A baker's mecca, King Arthur's Flour has is working on massive renovations of its store, bakery and classrooms. The store is finished, and the whole site is open throughout the renovations.
One of Vermont's best known breweries, the tasting room isn't far.

A bit further afield, another Vermont brewery.
