Well, David had told me earlier that day that he wanted Moe's that night (which wasn't unusual for us). I basically said, okay, sounds good... but I couldn't figure out why we went to such an early dinner (at 4pm). After Moe's, David decides we should go to "our park," a park we go to a lot in the Brentwood area. It was burning up outside, but I said yes anyways! We get to the park and David says he doesn't feel like getting on the swings or playing on the playground, so we decide to walk around the little track they have there. So we are walking, and all of a sudden he stops next to a bench. He gives me a hug, and tells me how much he loves me and how he can't wait to spend the rest of his life with me. Then, after like 5-6 minutes of saying sweet things like that, he says, "well, I guess I only have one thing to ask you..." (drops on one knee), "Brittany Blair Carden, will you marry me?" Of course by that time, I am crying my eyes and I say "YES YES YES!!," give him a huge hug and kiss, and he puts the ring on my finger. We are both teary-eyed, as someone calls his cell phone. It's my mom, and I answer and say "We're engaged!!" and hang up. Then, we walk about two feet before I jump on him and shout, "we're engaged!!" and we are both laughing, crying, etc. It was the most perfect proposal for us. :)
