Jessica's cousin Crystal invited David to her birthday party in December '07 without knowing him because Jessica had a crush on him. This was on Decemeber 28th at Las Olas Riverfront. They talked all night but he had to leave early because he worked at 3:30am. They started talking on the phone and David had asked Jessica for a favor at work. To repay her, Jessica asked for a new car or a monkey. He said he was thinking along the lines of a date. They had their first date on January 1st 2008. After dinner David surprised Jessica with a stuffed monkey. Four months later they moved in together. Eight months later they were engaged.
