This is the auspicious date picked as the Betrothal Day. This is a formal meeting between the parents of the perspective bride and groom. The groom's family presents various proposal gifts that represents fertility and prosperity in Chinese Culture, which is also known as "Grand Gift". Thus, the two are considered officially engaged
Gifts prepared by Groom:
1) 60 pcs Wedding Dinner Invitation Cards for 8 tables
2) 12 cans pig trotters (bride return 4 cans)
3) Red packet $??? (bride to return $?)
4) 12 boxes of cakes (bride to return 2 boxes)
5) 2 bottles of hard liquor
6) 1 pair of Dragon & Phoenix Double Candles (dragon for bride side) & (phoenix for groom side) with Yuan coin
7) 四点钻
8) 12 Oranges (Bride to return 6 of it)
Gifts prepared by Bride:
1) Ang Pow for grandparents, parents, bridegroom, siblings.
2) 2 bottles of 1.5L soft drinks in exchange for the hard liquor
3) Return some cans pig trotters & Oranges
4) 1 Tea set (for groom's side)
5) Xi stickers (include 2 big red ones to paste on main wooden door & 1 gold on masterbed & small ones to paste everything)
6) Fans (1 pair)
7) Yan2 Ji2 (include 10 big & 10 small)
8) Longans, red dates, bai3 he2, lotus seeds, rock sugar, yuan2 bing3 for groom
