April 18 we left on a glorious 17-day honeymoon cruise! (Honeymoon! Honeymoon!)
I used the word "honeymoon" at every available opportunity on the trip. There wasn't a stewardess, villager, skycap or seagull who didn't know we were on our honeymoon! We dined and danced (we even entered a dance contest) and after 6 days we began to tour the various ports.
(BIG, HUGE, JUICY THANKS to Reg "Papa" Laite for treating us to this incredible trip! Mmmwah!)
Jeff and I are took the Ruby Princess's maiden Transatlantic cruise that crosses the Atlantic for 6 days and then we visited (for one day each) Madeira, Cadiz (Seville), Gibraltar (as in "Rock of"), Sardinia, Rome, Florence, then Barcelona. We were supposed to also stop in Monaco but the seas were too rough to use a tender.
I had a great time and I have the refrigerator magnets to prove it!
Another really cool thing is that I told my friends, Gayle Luster and her ever-lovin' husband Ron Lambert (who live in Dallas), about the trip, and they thought it sounded like such a good deal they're going on the cruise as well. This is wonderful because they are wonderful, and now Jeff will have some nice people to talk to when he's sick and tired of me. (Ron and Gayle are therapists and they're writing a book on marriage -- so it'll be good having professionals around when Jeff gets those inevitable homicidal thoughts.
