Old world influences played a big part in a lot of the collections this season and Karen Hendrix's Spring collection was no different. But, while Valena went for a body hugging silhouette highlighting the waist, Karen Hendrix went big. Even her short dresses had a ball gown feel, lending them a glamorous feel.
I loved this collection. All of the little details - the black edging on the Vivienne dress, the belt on the very chic Malone, the soft flowers on the lavender Valentina - they were exquisite in person. And ultimately, I think, still very wearable. Karen Hendrix has a soft touch with details, adding just enough to keep it interesting and dramatic but not so much that you lose the person in the dress.
