Please Be Prepared

We hope you can make it to our small shindig up in the sticks! To prepare our guests, we've provided a list of things to know before the big weekend. Please contact us for additional information.

It is extremely important that everyone planning on spending this weekend with us read the following information. Thanks!

Park Rules

Since we are renting this facility from the parks service, we all MUST abide by the following rules:

-Check in time: 3pm Friday
-Check out time: 12pm Sunday

-MAX group size is 50 people, no exceptions. Unfortunatley this extremely small event cannot accomodate extra friends or extended family members. If you wish to have extra guests, you can reserve a campsite at either of the public campgrounds (Lionhead or Indian Creek), just a few miles from our group camp. Please RSVP with us to reserve your tent or RV spot in our group camp, or contact us for more information regarding the public campsites!

-There are only 18 parking spaces, so please carpool if possible.

-We are responsible for keeping the facility neat and in sanitary conditions. We are to leave the group camp as we entered it.

-It is illegal to discharge any type of weapon, firearm, or firework in a state park.

-If you wish to bring recreational toys (boats, ATV's, etc.) make sure they are legal, licensed, and insured. There are several boat launches on the east side of the park for you to use. ATV's must be street legal and are not allowed in the campgrounds, but can be used in the state land boardering the park.

-There are two gates to our private camp area. These are to be kept shut, as to keep other park users out of our area.

-You are more than welcome to bring your own alcohol, but it is not to be served to minors.

-Fires are to be restricted to designated fire pits ONLY. We will be notified upon arrival if there are any area fire restrictions in effect. Propane/gas grills will always be fine.

-The strip of sandy beach directly in front of our camp is included with the rental of this facility. The floating dock and the ends of this beach boardering our group camp is considered public access, so please kindly notify any non-group park guests of our personal space if needed.

-Pets must be leashed, and are not allowed on the beach for sanitary reasons.

-The use of extension cords connecting to other areas of the camp is prohibited.

-We will have a camp host, as provided by the parks department, who will be located at the edge of our group camp area. This host will be monitoring our event, so please abide by all the park rules to ensure that we have a happy and peaceful weekend!

This is a rural area and primative campground

-The Lionhead Group Camp is located 12 miles from the park headquarters, and approx. 18 miles from the small, rural town of Coolin. Emergency services are limited, and medical attention could be up to 1 hour away in Sandpoint, Idaho. If you have any medical conditions, allergies, or other health concerns, please come prepared.

-While there are a few smaller convienience stores in the area, supplies are limited. Please make sure to stop in Nordman (southwest side of Priest Lake) or Priest River for the majority of your camping needs. There is a small store in the Indian Creek Campground / Park headquarters, with ice, milk, etc. But the biggest selection of food and personal items will be at Tamarack Grocery & Liquor in Nordman OR Harvest Foods Grocery in Priest River, Idaho.

-The last few miles of road to the Group Camp are not paved. While it is plenty wide for RV's and larger vehicles, please drive carefully!

Don't feed the bears!

-Again, this is a rural area, protected by the state of Idaho. While enjoying your stay at Priest Lake, please be aware of animals in their natural habitat. Local animals include: black bears, moose, elk, mountain goats, wolves, and cougars. Please be careful and respectful while hiking, driving, or biking around the lake.

-To prevent these wild animals from entering our group camp, please pick up your disposable dishes, don't leave food out overnight, and use the bear-proof garbage cans provided at our campsite.

-While your pets are welcome in the group camp, please make sure to have a good leash and/or teather to keep them close. As per park rules, pets are not allowed on the white sand beaches, but are allowed to run around the wooded camp areas and play in the many creeks and rivers.

The Great Outdoors

-The weather in Northern Idaho is just as unpredictable as Seattle, so pack accordingly! While this event will take place durring the warmest time of the year, it is not uncommon for mountain rain showers to pass through! Plan for sun, highs of 83*, lows of 45*, with the possiblity of light rain showers. And we'll have our own private beach, so don't forget your swimsuits! Our casual beach wedding does not require any formalware, so flip-flops and shorts are welcome!

-We'll be in the thick of the deep woods, so please bring your own bug spray or candles! A simple first aid kit, kept in your trunk, could also come in handy!
