Attractions

Well, for those of you out-of-towners, there are lots of things that you can do while visiting the lovely Orange County, CA.

Disneyland

Who could resist the happiest place on Earth?

Cost: an arm AND a leg (maybe two of each)

Downtown Disney

Cost: Free (well, what you buy at the shops is your business but it is free just to look!)

For those of you who don't know, Downtown Disney is a series of shops and restaurants that you can walk around in an open air venue. They have lots of great shops like: Miss Matched, Build a Bear, Sephora, Fossil, Basin (lots of great bath and beauty products), etc. Oh and of course the ginormous Disney store. Seriously, they sell tons of stuff that you can buy in the park.

There are also some great restaurants. Eric and I had one of our first dates at Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. I you go, you HAVE to try the Roman Garlic Bread - seriously to die for. Seriously. Also, how can you forget to grab a bag of Kettle Corn or Carmel Corn from the street vendor carts? We never do! And, since it will be spring, they will probably have Soft Frozen Lemonade for sale - quite yummy with a churro!

Knott's Berry Farm

Cost: to go into the amusement park it is usually about 20-30 dollars per adult. But, it is FREE to walk around the shops.

Eric and I like to go and walk around a little bit. All of the locals know that The Chicken Dinner restaurant is THE place to go. Seriously huge dinners that include soup or salad, rhubarb, corn or cabbage, your meal choice (the favorite here is the Fried Chicken), all the freshest, awesomest biscuists you can eat (of course, you HAVE to have it with boysenberry jam) and each meal comes with dessert - hello, boysenberry pie (you can get dessert to go since you will probably be all full!) And, don't forget to get the awesome boysenberry punch to drink!
You can buy the concentrate to take and make at home in one of the shops (the one with the rock garden). Plus, don't forget to visit the bakery - they have Eric's most favorite florentine chocolate dipped cookies in the whole wide world!
