Euwing & Win Nee

Wedding Party

On this page, you'll find out more about the people who're helping us with the wedding. Take note that we'll continuously update this page as finalize the list. Thank you to those on this list! :D

Pastor Mei Soon

Officiant
Pastor Mei Soon

Pastor Mei is a friend, a teacher, a great person, who is very dear to both of us, and has a place in our hearts. She has been a blessing in our lives, and it's a great honor to have Pastor Mei solemnize our wedding!

He - Pastor Mei was with me even before the start of my relationship with Win Nee. She's the first person I told to about my feelings for Win Nee, and she's been there to encourage me to take the step of asking Win Nee to be my girlfriend. Immediately after the proposal, I asked Win Nee if we can get Pastor Mei to be the officiant of the wedding, and thank God she said, "Yes" :D

She - Pastor Mei is my boss! =P She is the Head Of Children Ministry and I got to know her better when I joined Kids Joy Club (KJC) about 2 years back and am currently reporting to her. She is like a "mom" to us and Pastor Eddie is a like a "dad" because both of them helped us with a lot of advices and opinions in many ways - it doesn't matter if it's about the house we want to buy or our relationship etc, they are always there to provide good advice hence it is such an honour to have Pastor Mei to marry us!

Choong Fui-Chen

Best Man
Choong Fui-Chen

Fui-Chen... Yes, his name has a hyphen! And, he's better known as Fui, or Fuister. He is a great friend while I was in uni, at Monash University, from the first year! We spent time doing projects, and even all the fun you get in uni during our first two years in Sunway. When he left for Clayton, Melbourne, it was kinda a loss for me, but oh well, he wasn't THAT close to me back then anyway :P However, our "relationship" got better when I went joined him at Clayton, especially when we stay together in the Halls of Residence. We spent loads of time together, from shopping to cooking, to washing up, to playing soccer, and watching soccer, and loads more, with all the other friends in the Halls! Oh ya! We even slept together in a tent before, with another great friend of ours, Vishnu! It was quite an experience camping at the Grampians, and hiking up to the Pinnacle! :D It was one of the best times of my life! :D BUT, back then, I was no Christian, and in fact, I was against it! So, everytime he brings up the topic bout church and Christianity, a few of us will continuously shoot him down, but without fail, he continues to just smile, and be blur! Yes, he's SUPER BLUR, but that's why he's so funny :P Anyway, he never gives up, and thank God for that spirit! :D He was the one who brought me to church, and led me to Christ! How amazing my life was from then on! I really want to thank him for all that he's done, also to his wife (WOW! Wife already!), Dee Jun, who's ever so fun, always standing by him. They are one great couple! Thank you to both of you! Love ya! :D

The photo was taken during one of our dinners at the camp site at Grampians :)

Liew Tze Seong

Man of Honor
Liew Tze Seong

Also known as “Tzes”, he has been a wonderful friend to me since MMU days. I met him during our first year of uni 8 years ago and slowly we became friends. He is like a big brother to me (though sometimes I think I’m more mature than him haha) and took good care of me when we were studying. I was the only final year girl in CF back then (during our final year in university) so I would always join them for meals and study sessions. That was when our friendship blossomed. We became good friends and even after we graduated we still kept in touch occasionally. One day I received a message from him telling me that he was coming to Penang to work! We brought him to church, joined Addicted 2 Jesus (A2J) as our cg-mates and are still good friends just like how we were years ago. If we were to come across any problems in life, we know that we can always have each other to count on. After the proposal, I asked him if he could be my “man of honour” aka personal assistant. I couldn’t think of anyone in Penang closest to me who is better than him for this role although he can be blur, late, forgetful and list goes on… Hahaha. Just kidding! Just make sure you are not late to my wedding, Tzes! Thank you for your willingness to be my “man of honour”. Don’t worry, I won’t make you wear a dress! =P

* This picture was taken in Cameron Highlands, where he tried to poke my head with the cactus in his hand!

Jamie Ho Yean Yee

Bridesmaid
Jamie Ho Yean Yee

Jamie is my oldest friend ever (not talking about the numbers of course but about our wonderful friendship)! We’ve known each other ever since we were born into this world and lived just back door to each other. I would shout her name from my back door and from my room window upstairs I can see what’s going on over in her room. I always imagined us talking to each other through the paper cup telephone (like all those cartoons and movies) because we lived so close to each other. We used to play Barbie dolls together and somehow I still have this vivid memory of us washing our Barbie doll’s hair in my house’s sink and me cutting off all my Barbie doll’s hair away because I was trying to be a hairdresser and I thought the hair would grow out again. I would go over to her house to study after school and our parents to the market together. We were really really close and she is just like a sister to me because our moms know each other too. We would tell each other everything (yup, no secrets between us!) and even after my family moved, we were still close and I’m so honoured to have her as one of my bridesmaids for my wedding. I am so thankful to have such great childhood friend and she is really someone whom I will always appreciate and remember for life. Those years were one of the happiest moments in my life and I will always remember that =)

Gracie Quah

Bridesmaid
Gracie Quah

I’ve been friends with Gracie since we were in primary school and we are still best friends now, updating each other on what is going on with our lives. We’ve been through lots of ups and downs in life and we shared every details with each other without fail. In fact, she was the one who brought me to Christ and if it wasn’t for her I would still be a non-believer. After Form 5, we went our separate ways to further our studies but we were still good friends who would share our tears and laughters together. I even visited her in her college and went to classes with her for a day. I stayed with her and that was when I watched “Serendipity” (I’ve seen this movie’s cover several times but somehow didn’t buy it) and was blown away by the movie. I fell in love with the movie and found out later when I went out with Euwing that this is also one of his favourite movies as well (I just knew that Euwing is different from the all guys I know the moment I heard that). Gracie and I even made this pact that when any of us get married we will have each other as the maid of honour/bridesmaid =) This girl is just so wonderful and strong, and life would have been different if it wasn’t for her. Gracie, thank you for being a big part of my life and I’m so glad that I will have you beside me on one of the most important day in my life. Thank you! =D

Michelle Lai

Bridesmaid
Michelle Lai

Michelle is one of my closest CG mates so it doesn’t make sense if I don’t get her as one of my bridesmaids for my wedding! =P We’ve known each other for about 2 years, we met when I joined A2J (Addicted 2 Jesus) CG. She is really fun and friendly, and whenever she is around, you will never feel bored. One of the sweetest things she has ever done for me was to give me encouragement when I was down. That time, she was on business trip to Japan and I requested her to buy something for me. When she came back, I wanted to pay her (it’s not cheap) but she said it’s a gift for me! She continued by saying that the gift is for me because she is so proud of me, for being strong again as I was going through some emotional issues then. Somehow when she said that, I was so touched, really touched that I almost teared. Thank you so much, Michelle! I will always remember that moment! =) When she got married, I was really happy for her because she deserves the best =) In a nutshell, she has been an amazing blessing and our friendship means a lot to me. Words alone are not enough to express everything but she is definitely a true friend that makes the world a brighter place to live!

Khor Jo Ann

Bridesmaid
Khor Jo Ann

This will be surprising to hear but I’ve been friends with Jo Ann for just a little more than a year! The first time I met her was in e-Gate during dinner with our CG mates, a while after Euwing and I were officially a couple. We introduced ourselves and when I told her my name is a Chinese name as is spelled as 2 words, she got excited and said hers is the same too! Haha… I met her again when our CG went to Red Box for a karaoke session and she was still as quiet. It didn’t take long for her to forget all the shyness in her and she is now as talkative as ever. I couldn’t believe that she has only joined our CG for the past year because I felt like she has been with us for a long long time! Throughout the year, we got closer and she is one of the sweetest and most generous people I know. We talked about anything and everything and she is just very comfortable to talk to. I am very surprised at myself, because I don’t normally warm up to friends whom I don’t know for long but somehow this is different. I was just thinking who can be my bridesmaids from our CG the other day and she just popped into my mind. She is someone whom I can trust and I know that I’ve made the right decision having her as bridesmaid.
