Finally, after the Taj Mahal proposal, the elders in Singapore had decided to visit WTB's family back in Penang... We had quite alot of worries at the initial stage, whether both families can accept each other or will there be communication breakdown and something like that... well, we always believe that things have been well planned for us.. Alhamdullilah, things turn out so well that both families was like so close... Both HTB and WTB's family are pretty understanding and supportive.. All that we've been hoping for is the blessing from our parents... The Big Day had been chosen for us... Only some arrangement left for us to plan out..
We'd registered ourselves for the marriage prep course and it was in August that we both attended the course... We were quite nervous at first... then it was quite fun and we enjoyed and participated every discussion topic during the course... Of course at the end of the day we all hope that our marriage will be blissful and forever lasting... We both think that the only way to achieve this goal is to be opened up to each other and to know our direction well and move every step towards it together... We are doing this quite well, going on our own pace and holding each others hand tight no matter what lies ahead of us...
2 months after the wedding prep course we both marched in to the ROMM to register ourselves for the big day... Everything goes smoothly as planned. We were stressed out because of the interview session at first... we even prepared our mobile phone and started recording the conversation while we were in the interviewer's room... not much tough questions posted to us and things ended smoothly... It was quite a memorable day for the both of us because of the excitement and tense feeling that we'd had...
Our destiny ended up in Jade Spring... It was HTB's hometown... and it will soon be the new neighbourhood for WTB... Things happened for a reason and here we are, doing quite well seeing our lovenest building bit by bit from an empty land to our dream home...
On and off, we are getting ourselves ready for our Big Day in 2009 which we'd planned after the proposal... First we had our families informed... then we proceed to hunt for some little stuffs needed for the wedding... We chosen every one of them ourselves and that makes it very special for us no matter how much it cost... And we make sure that we both loved the item that it stands a certain level of sentimental value to us...
And so it was 16th Dec 2006, the day when WTB opened up her heart to go for the introduction course at Darul. It took WTB 1 year and 3 months till her conversion to Islam... WTB's learning path was abit complicated, she wanted to really know where her faith lies, and so WTB took a long route... Both WTH & HTB attended a personal tutor and then swapped to basic course in Islam, all together attended 2 times of Ustaz Saifful Rahman's classes. Then there goes 2 times of the Solah tutorial 1 and the ongoing Hadith and Fiqh class to date...
HTB was thinking why is WTB so 'kia su'... kre kre... Well, it's really a major decision for WTB and that's the reason why it took 1 year and 3 months for her... Alhamdullilah... one day WTB said she intend to convert and started texting Ustaz for the conversion... it was 16th March 2008... Datuk, Nenek and MTB attended the conversion of WTB... That marks the beginning of WTB's life as a Muslim.
It was WTB 27th birthday. Unlike previous year, WTB celebrated her birthday with HTB alone and that was very sweet of him to had everything specially planned out for WTB... It goes the same this year... The whole day event from visiting the bird park, then to the aromatherapy spa (*to get rid of our tiredness after walking the whole day in the park*) and finally, celebration with HTB's family...
It was very sweet of HTB for constantly showering his love towards WTB...
