How soon should I book?
Flights to the Mayan Riviera are already filling up and are getting more expensive, so we recommend putting your deposit down on your seat as soon as you decide that you plan on attending our wedding. The deposits are $200.00 per person, which then guarantees your seat on the plane, as well as the discounted group rate.
Should I use your travel agent?
Yes. Darlene is taking care of all of the travel arrangements for us. Plus, if you have other desires for your stay in Barcelo, or if you want to stay at another hotel, you can get a quote from her. In addition to this, Darlene is an excellent travel agent who we recommend greatly.
When should I arrive?
The departure date depends on what city you are leaving from. As far as we know, currently from Calgary and Saskatoon the departure date is Friday February 6th. From Regina and Winnipeg, it is on Saturday February 7th. We will be leaving on February 7th from Regina.
Can I bring a guest(s)?
Ofcourse you can and we recommand it. This is also your vacation and we want you to have the best possible time as you can; there is no better way to do that then with your partner, friend, or family members. The more the merrier!!!!
We do ask one thing though, if you do plan on bring a guest(s) please let us know the name of your guest(s) and how many you plan on bringing.
Can I bring my children?
Yes you certainly can. Barcelo has an excellent children's program. They have daily activities and an amazing children's swimming pool. Plus, there are discounted child travel rates.
How long should we stay?
We are staying two weeks, with arrival on Friday February 7th. There will be a lot of family members and friends who will be staying the full two weeks with us. Feel free to stay as long as you want, we want you there!!!!
What should I wear for the wedding and rest of the week?
We are having a relaxed beach wedding, so wear something comfortable and enjoyable.
In general, you should pack for any tropical vacation, remembering that there will opportunities to go into Playa Del Carmen, Tulum, night-life, golfing, and outdoor activities as well as tours.
Here are a few tips to help you pack:
Guys: a pair of pants for the restuarants where the dress codes are enforced.
Ladies: a wrap or sweater for the possibilities of the breezy nights.
Do I need a passport?
Yes!!!! We suggest getting one as soon as you can if you don't already have one. If you do have one, make sure that it is valid and that it does not expire when you are away.
