Make a day trip to Mexico by accessing public transportation. From the station at Mission Valley shopping center, across the highway from the hotel, catch the green line trolley to the Old Town Transit Center, then change to the blue line to the border town of San Ysidro, 20 miles away. From San Ysidro, it is a short walk across the border into Tijuana.
