Greg planned a HUGE 30th Birthday party for Kristy inviting over 80 people at John's Upper Deck in Downtown Kansas City . When it came time to toast the birthday girl, Greg talked of the significance of Kristy beginning a new decade and how important it was to Gabriel when he entered his first decade at "10" over the summer. Greg then made reference to the second decade being overshadowed by the 21st birthday. He mentioned how privileged he was to be with Kristy at her 30th birthday as she entered her third decade. And how he hoped she would be there for him when he enters his fourth, fifth, sixth decade and beyond. To ensure that she would be there for all of those wonderful milestones, he then reached into his pocket and knelt down on his knee to ask her for her hand in marriage.
