25 Oct, Sat was our very first house warming.. both of us woke up early to set Timba to work while we pack our cupboards and make sure everything is in order.. Gave the house a good mop after Timba complete his job. Our first batch of guest (my aunts/uncle) arrive at 12 plus , went around and have them settled down... and our caterer arrive soon after to set up.. Here's Hao & MIL checking out the items making sure all the dishes arrive... Reviews for the food was 50/ 50 the curry...
After 6 months, we are pleased to announce our house is finally completed with the sofa and bed. Now we spend most of our time in the living room with our laptops and watching Tv. *heart* the Lshape sofa very much..Feels great to strech out on it after a tiring day out at work ... Our 1st batch of house warming is on 25 Sept 09 Sunday =)
Our Sofa will be arriving in 3rd week of Oct !!! It's a customized leather material- 3 seater + an Automent. We are looking forward to its arrival to make it on time for our house warming... We went for the food tasting with our family on 12 Sept 09. Thank goodness we made a reservation in otherwise there probably wont be any seats. We stepped in and found ourselves back in time to the 1930 - 1960s where nightclubs were the in thing. Our kitchen is more complete now with the electronics items and cutlery. We got some from the mega NTUC mart @ Ang Mo Kio Hub & storage containers from Ikea last week. Buying items for our home is very differnt from the usual grocery shopping, We take more notice on the functions, design and budget rather than buying on impulse. Hi all, here's a small update from me. Recently we are busy with our house renovation, furniture purchase and house cleaning. On 13th Aug 2009, it was our first night at our simei home. The feeling was refreshing as it was the first time waking up with XY and going for breakfast then work together. On sat, our washing machine, fan and rice cooker arrive finally. We spent our PH off in lieu (National Day) cleaning up our house with the help of our family. Managed to put up the curtains, set up the stuff we got from Ikea and organize our stuff abit. It's starting to feel more homely with the furnitures coming in.The 6 of us were really shag by the end of the day but it feels great to see much progress. We will be staying there occassionally to give it some human presence as the Chinese 7th month is round the corner. Internet access will be up...
