He is a Software Developer currently working in Kuwait. He loves music (that's why he can't survive without his IPOD), computer games (his playstation is one of his most prized possession) and cars (sadly, he doesn't own one... yet). He also loves to cook - that's why I don't have any choice but to agree when he insisted he'll do all the cooking when we we're married (hehehehe). And he loves a good laugh and does not hesitate to crack a joke or two even if you beg him to stop doing so. He's a very generous brother, son and of course, boyfriend. When giving his loving attention to his loved ones, he never holds back, he's all out. He's a true blue gentleman and I feel very lucky indeed that he decided to set his eyes on me.
I am a Software Developer currently assigned in England. I love books, movies and like all girls, shopping. I don't know how to cook - I rather eat than worry how the food gets on the table. I only clean my apartment when necessary (only when I'm expecting a caller). And I don't know how to budget at all (well what do you expect from someone who loves shopping?). Ergo, gosh, I'm not a wife material... Harley surely doesn't know what he's getting into. But what I lack in those skills, I try to compensate with some other things - I'm the most loving, sweet girlfriend Harley can ever have. No one will love him like I do (^-^) Although loving him is not that difficult really.
It wasn't love at first sight.
The first time we laid eyes on each other was maybe along a narrow corridor in NEC Keppel office or maybe inside its wonky elevator squeezed among other NEC employees as we rushed to the 14th floor to have lunch. Oh we don’t really know. Neither of us can remember that first time. All we know is that we must have been introduced to one another during that period when he was in Cebu (Harley was from NEC-Manila, while I was from NEC-Cebu) during his 6-month training. There were no sparks then because we were both "in a relationship" that time.
Fast-forward 5 years later, Harley was already settled in Kuwait with his parents and I transferred to Manila for greener pastures. While both of us were enjoying new found freedom having come out from not-meant-to-be relationships, our friends (Harley’s friend Dan and my pretty friend Ria) found each other in Japan and fell in love. Dan and Ria realizing that they’re so damn happy and wanting others to feel that way too orchestrated for us to get to know each other better. Dan informed Harley of my Gtalk ID and Ria gave me Harley’s coupled with mega build-up...
Then it started with one harmless chat about the weather - that was around September 2006, the day when typhoon Milenyo wreaked havoc in Luzon. We started to chat frequently, exchange emails and then it ballooned to him sending almost 50 text messages a day! That surely burned holes in his pockets since he’s texting from overseas (hehehe). It was the classic “MU” drama.
Harley vacationed to Manila that October. We decided to meet in Greenbelt Powerbooks. Underestimating the traffic in Makati on a Friday night he was late for an hour! I almost turned my heels around and bailed out, annoyed for making me wait. But I'm so glad I didn’t because when I finally saw him my heart sang (gosh ang corny!). He told me his heart did a lot more than sing, it skipped, hopped and cart-wheeled for he saw the most gorgeous lady in the world (nyehehehehe). A day after, 21st of October, he expressed his desire to court me and I said yes on the 24th ... I know! Only 3 days!!! What can I say, I'm not a descendant of Maria Clara’s side of the family and I refused to give him the opportunity to change his mind *grin*
