Sarah & Alek

Our Story

Only once in our lives, if at all, do we meet that one person who fits in our jumbled mess of a puzzle as to complete it. Alek and I found each other through chance and perhaps fate. Although we are both so very different from each other, we fit.

When you find a love such as that, you hold it carefully and gently; as you would hold a drop of mercury in your hands. Squeeze it too tightly and it will run away; but hold it carefully and gently and it will be content to stay.

How We Met

(or...Blame It on the A-a-a-a-a-alcohol)

In February of 2006 Sarah was urged by a Myspace friend to come out for an Anti-Valentine's Day party to meet up with a group of people she had gotten to know through the website.

A quiet guy with a great voice caught her eye that night although it wasn't until the next week that they would speak. At the following meetup they eluded each other for most of the evening until near closing time Sarah, under the influence of copious amounts of Smirnoff, took the initiative and kissed the handsome stranger she had yet to get a chance to meet.

By the next get together they were an item and falling in love.

A few months later circumstances were such that they parted ways. Over the next 3 years while they both seemingly went on with their lives, they remained in each others hearts and minds. Several times it seemed as though they would find their way back to each other but the timing was never quite right and nothing came of it until....

In February 2009, Sarah decided enough was enough and sent Alek an anonymous text message confessing her feelings. She kept her identity a secret and arranged a Valentine's date with him. Once Alek deciphered her mysterious clues and knew it was Sarah on the other end of the phone, neither could wait for Saturday and they reunited on that Friday the 13th in February.

Since then they have rediscovered their love for each other and know without a doubt that the time spent apart only served to show them how incomplete life is without each other and that they were meant to be together always.
