I ordered my dress! It should arrive in September. It's from David's Bridal; I loved the girls that helped me there. They were absolute sweethearts. And the particular dress I tried on didn't need any hemming, so that was a huge savings in itself! My dress is a corset back so I probably won't need as much alterations. (Style 9T9315 - Strapless beaded lace satin corset with gathered satin overlay and side-split front with beaded lace inset. Lace-up, split back.)
I decided on a beautiful Alfred Angelo gown! The color that I picked is Espresso and the sash will be ivory. It looks so nice on all of the girls. (Style 7017 - Chiffon)
I am having a tough time finding shoes. I am not a girly shoe person. I live in my Converse shoes during the winter and flip flops in the summer. Another Knottie (daffodil_jill, I believe) suggested ballroom dance shoes for comfort. I'm leaning towards these coffee colored shoes, with the closed toes because October can be cold in winter.
I bought my 2-tier ivory veil from eBay vendor cutebrides. I got it for only $13.99 and with free shipping! I think it's gorgeous and classic looking. Can't beat the price either!
As a gift for Brodie, I purchased these AWESOME cufflinks from Etsy seller TheClayCollection. They are just awesome and I can't wait to give them to him!
I am a huge Packer fan so I think this would be a cute way of showing my allegiance without being too tacky. Brodie may or may not approve of it, but I figure by the time the garter toss happens he won't even notice. I purchased the garter from eBay vendor craftychick!
