We are so happy to have these people supporting us on our wedding day! Assume the ladies descriptions were written by Heather, and the men's by Scott to avoid any pronoun confusion.
Thanks so much!
My younger brother. Currently living in the metropolis of Ethel, Ontario, with his girlfriend Sam and two dogs, where he enjoys working in his shop and four wheeling. While we have wildly differing interests, we are more alike than most people think. Most of our brotherly bond comes from calling each other "Rod" and annoying our father.
My regular lab partner and study buddy in Engineering. We spent far too many late nights together in campus labs, banging it out in VHDL. He's now living in Kitchener, with frequent trips to international destinations with his girlfriend, also named Heather.
Dan and I met in high school and bonded over Linux. Since then, we've lived together in Ottawa, traveled together in various countries, and shared a drink in every coffee shop in Southwestern Ontario. A fellow programmer, he currently lives in Guelph.
Dave and I met in high school and bonded over video games and large pepperoni pizzas from Twice the Deal. We've enjoyed many a bonfire at his house outside Elmira, and traveled to Japan together just after graduating, where we first tasted the glorious okonomiyaki.
I met Erin at Renison in first year, and have many fond memories of eating pizza in the hall, insane euchre tournaments and watching her do ridiculous dances. We lived together on erb street and churchill where there were a lot of parties, BBQ's, trips to the gorge, wonderful birthday cupcakes and at least one ridiculous halloween costume. She lives with her husband, Kevin, in Peterborough.
HMac and I initially bonded over our shared name in 2005 while applying to be Dons at Renison and being forced to put together Lego pieces blindfolded. Our friendship grew over many nights at Mollys, shared bicycles and making gluten free pancakes and smiles for breakfast.
I met Ian at the tender age of 6 at Riverside Public School. We hung out in the playground, went camping together, became neighbours on Queen St. and lived together in university. Currently a PhD student, he's handy to have around as he recently got married, so he's experienced with all this wedding stuff.
I first met Ian at the Kendall household in high school. When Heather and I started dating, Ian seemed to approve, and since then we've bonded over a surprising number of trips to Guelph to help each other move furniture, where he's currently studying Political Science.
I met Karina in 2006 in UWGAG, the most appropriately named anti-genocide group the world has ever seen. We bonded over antique shopping, multiple club memberships, lots of crafting, and a trip to Europe wherein we spilled a lot stuff. She lives in Waterloo with three roommates and the second cutest dog ever.
Katie was the first person I met at Renison in first year and I immediately knew that it would be a fun year. We spent the year eating a lot of ice cream, pulling the fire alarm, chasing each other around, and generally having a great time. We lived together in second year and the summer after 4th year as well and during that time we ate a lot of nachos. She lives with her fiancé, Robin, in Brantford and teaches at the school for the blind and deaf.
My sister, my Maid of Honour, and my best ally in discussions of why our parents are crazy. Having completed her Bachelor of Science at Guelph, she lived in Hawaii for 6 months, led whale watching tours on the east coast and is now studying science communication at Laurentian. She and her boyfriend, also Scott, have stolen my cute cat Theo and live together in Sudbury.
I met Lindsey in 2000 at a camp for presbyterian keeners. Moving past our geeky beginnings, we spent highschool sending actual letters in the mail before attending Waterloo together and had an amazing time at Aquafit, monday night dinner parties, and hilariously ineffective study sessions at DP. She lives with her boyfriend, John, in Newmarket.
